Hi everyone. I've wrote some posts already here on fchat but never introduced myself. My name is Evgeny, I'm from Moscow, Russia and 2 years ago I bought Ferrari 348ts 90-91 red/black.

While everyone is still reading would like to keep everyone safe from sc*** bag named La Scuderia Rossa, here is my experience and he still owes me around 3500 eur:

Maybe someone in Europe do need front body structure. Also I've got spare front fog lamps, front grille, front panel between headlights and some other stuff. Pls contact me if you need it, will work something out.

Well, everything started in early 2011 when I understood that my beloved BMW M5 e60 (2008) which I bought new in 2009, lost in it's price more then 50%. While I bought it at around $165k I've managed to sell it for $70k. So a strong rejection of modern race for top notch technologies came to me and I decided to buy something old and interesting to use as my second car. This was found on some local internet marketplace, well definitely not a garage queen. BTW it was ad'ed as a 348 GTS.

I live in the capital of my country in the European part while car was located at "far east". You can check the distance from Moscow to Vladivostok in google maps. ;)
Guess what? I took a friend of mine, 2 round tickets and flew there. Everything took me 25 hours out of which 20 hours we were in the sky. ;) we came to the guys who were selling my future F car and it turned out that they specialised in bringing wrecked exotics from Japan. For that moment it looked quite complete and asking just for some minor touches what actually turned much more difficult in the nearest future.
We agreed upon a purchase. And I was waiting for a month while it was going through our big country by train.

During this time I've managed to figure out the previous history of the car. So it was damaged like this and repaired like that.

But all this didn't scare me at all cause I've got my own workshop. So the process started...
I've tried to collect parts from around the globe. Most notorious act was on our train trip to Italy with my pregnant wife. :) You can do anything when you are young and stupid. :))) first I've found bonnet in Valencia, Spain and asked seller to send it to the hotel we were staying in, hotel staff was shocked. Secondly I had to fit a 348 bonnet into my rented Peugeot 308 wagon. And finally find a place for it in a train car. Everything was done and now it's my wife's most loved story to tell to prove my insanity.

Great thread! I love the train story. ;) I was afraid at first when I started to read your post that you had given up on this project and was selling off everything. I am glad to know that you are going forward with it. :D

That is kind of charity to the unloved automatives for me. I just can't stand seeing somehow interesting cars dieing cause of men's misbehaving. For example I've just restored corvette c4 that was standing for 14 years with no move.

That's a good woman you've got there, Evgeny!

One day I hope to be similarly crazy... I'll let you know in a few years how my own wife reacts to it. :)

I'm definitely subscribing to this thread to follow your restoration adventure. :D

    All the best,
    Andrew.

It looks like someone tried to pry the front hood emblem off with a screwdriver because they did not know that it is attached with nuts on the back. They wanted a fast souvenir! :D

Wheel center caps worked well for someone who was faster. ;)

BTW some story behind this wreckage.
It was a 1994 Spider 348. As the comments under the video on YouTube states on the 2 of November 2008 it had an accident on one of moscow motorways. It was tied upon a lamppost and caught a fire. Everyone survived. It was standing at a special parking here in Moscow where all the confiscated, damaged or problems with customs cars spent last days of their life. It's not just a regular junk yard but something connected with local authorities and you can't receive a title for this cars. So one guy decided to buy this piece of metal to use it's brakes on a BMW e34 M5 but later decided that it was a bad idea and ad'ed it on local site. I occasionally browse through this site's sections fo Fs, Ps and other exotics just to see something interesting. (once I saw Lambo Espada being sold for 10k usd) And seeing this I called that guy at the same very moment so the next day I was bringing this treasure to my lair. :)

Wow. Great story. I thought I was nuts but my countryman beat me to it. Nice going Yevgeny. What do you want for the front panel between the headlights if it is clean with no damage? send me a PM if you still have it. Shipping to Glendale California United States.

Thanks and hope you get done with that car if you have not yet.
