I looked for almost a year for the same connector, wires were breaking and my repairs didn't seem to last very long.
My solution was to just have all the wires hard wired.
I see that there is a 348 wiring loom with that plug for sale on eBay but the asking price is $750.00.

I tried, they only want to sell the whole wire harness, which costs about $750.

Don't waste your time with a harness or replacement connector. It will fail again.

Hardwire, as shown in the above picture. It takes some time, but is a good solution to the 'breaking pins' problem.

You can get the male and female pins from Digi-key. Be sure to order the removal tool also. Note that all critical wire connections are crimp only, solder will cause the wire to break when flexed. FWIW

Hi all trying to find a similar plug rather than wiring through. My doors are off having some paint so good time to do it. The problem is finding a plug with terminals that carry the right current. I found a Deutsch HDP20-18 20 pin plug that is very similar but the pins are only rated at 7.5 and 13 amps so insufficient for the 14awg cables which are fused at 20 amps. Anyone found anything close yet?

The OEM plugs are available via various vendors. I have a new set still in Ferrari wrap. Try Ricambi or Rutlands.

I have spoken to Ricambi, no stock but gave me the part numbers which differ to the number on the plug

Female side part number 142687. It is an AMP 827557-1
Male side part number 142688. It is an AMP 827555-1

I pulled this data directly from the Ferrari paper book which lists thousands of electrical connectors by their AMP, Tyco, etc numbers.

That’s really helpful Ricambi, thank you. There is a Ford part number on that drawing which may help. Asgor, thanks for the leads heading in the right direction. Ferrarium I have been trying to get hold of Rutland but so far no reply.

Could anyone tell me the current rating of the original pins in the connector? The plug is so small I cant believe that the pins are rated as high the fuses on the circuits which are 15-20amps.

See the attached documents. The Tyco Catalog 65910 (Doc 2) states "Test Current 13 A" but also states that this is "not to be construed as contact rating current. Use only for testing. Refer to contact current carrying capability information on page 8.". The attached (Doc 1) of the catalogue has the mentioned page 8 but I don't see the "contact current carrying capability" on it. Looking at pages 5 and 6 of (Doc 1), it appears that the contact current rating of the pins and sockets we are talking about is 13A. The pins and sockets used in the Ferrari door connectors are actually Tyco's "Signal Contacts" (Size 16) and not their "Power Contacts" (Size 12 and other) which can carry more than 20A.

I would not worry about having a 13A rated contact in the line with a 20A fuse. 13A is more than enough for the kind of currents flowing to the door (the highest being for the window motor). A 13A rated contact can carry 13A of continuous current and considerably more than that in the case of a momentary current spike of more than 20A (until the fuse blows).

In any case, failures at these connectors are mostly the wires braking off the pins/sockets due to flexing. Some pins/sockets may fail due to corrosion which causes increased resistance at the contact which, in turn, may cause contact overheating and burning. This, I think, could only happen in the contacts carrying relatively high current to the window motors.

Many thanks for that, I have found a TE circular plastic connector 19 pin is very similar and I think will work. It uses the same 13a pins to. The outer ends are not ideal but I think will work and the size and style is similar enough to seem OE.
