I was showing my car at the Milwaukee Masterpiece the other week when battery kill switches was brought up. Someone's 328 had one and 360 did, I went to find mine in the front bonnet and couldn't. Is there one or do you have to go in the wheel fender liner in order to disconnect the battery? Seems like the 348 should have one more than the other models due to battery location.

Edit - Haha, I just noticed and read the thread below this thread about batteries dying in 348's quickly. Didn't see an answer for the kill switch as mine is a spider so the battery is up front.

yes it does in the mondial it is mounted on the front of the fire wall just near the battery in the front luggage space. Your s no doubt will be in a similar spot.

I have looked with the 2 other guys at the show and we all did not see said switch at all up front. Weird.

Yes, but not necessarily in front. It's under the hood, left side, in the engine compartment on the older 348s. They have the battery mounted in the left rear of the engine compartment, behind the left-rear tire. On the later cars it may be the same as the 355, which is under the bonnet, under the right access panel that sits centered above the front-right tire.

    ......on my car from -91.......

There is now, on the other hand, just because I changed insurance company and they claimed the car to have such a device.

I mounted a switch on the negative side just above and in front of the battery.

Mines a 91 with battery at the rear, no kill 'switch' as far as I can recall but there is a simple disconnect point just above the battery cover panel (this bullet connection is renowned for poor connectivity).
