Dear all, I want to replace the lift rods for the Bonnet and the lid, but it seems that the SACHS SG437007 is not available anymore. Do you know another supplier ? Thank in advance Marc
I bought the bonnet struts from this UK company: 8mm rod 100mm stroke gas strut - GS8-18-100-140 (sgs-engineering.com). The strut force is selected when ordering so I keyed-in 400N which is what Sachs SG437007 (or Stabilus 094390) have. As the struts from this company come without the ball socket ends, you have to order them separately: B7 - Metal 10mm Ball Socket 19mm long with a M6 thread (sgs-engineering.com). I have had them on the bonnet (the engine lid) of my 348 for about a year now and they are holding well. They have a 2 year warranty, I hope they will last longer than that.
