    Hi All
I have seen the pics of the hidden fuse by the 2 green relays under the bonnet carpet BUT my UK car does not have these 2 green relays and does not have a 30A fuse in that area!

Other than the fuses attached to the 4 relays in a line that have 30A, 30A, 3A and no fuse in the last one just as in the pictures on the internet (opposite the green realays that they have and I don't).

Any UK car owners that can shed any light on where my heater panel fuse may be hiding I would be very greatful for your help?

I replaced my heater fuse with a gold plated type usually used for car stereo installs. The original one was actually half melted! I had to remove all the carpet under the hood at the top most section of the boot. This was located at the top left hand corner of the bonnet (When standing in front of the car, top right hand when sat in car). The fuse was on one wire. It was not wired into a fuse box arrangement. Just a brown wire chopped with a cheap fuse holder wired in series. Simple case of removing the old fuse holder and soldering in the new gold plated affair. If my memory serves me correctly it was routed to the side of the ABS unit. Take a look in that general area, it should be in there somewhere.

Tim those 4 relays/3 fuses/one empty socket are your ABS system relays which are accessed by lifting up the corner of the carpet on the passenger side near the window. On the same side just behind the headlight is panel which trquires a slotted screwdriver to undo the 2 screws which reveals the front luggage compartment relay/fuse board. Check your manual but there is an A20 fuse here which says its for air con???

Thanks very much for that, I have found it!! Just where you said. I had to remove the front carpet and bingo, one melted fuse holder! I am now on my way to buy a replacement upgraded in line one.
    Thanks again,
    Tim.
PS is there a good uk club for our cars?
PPS you don't live near Norfolk do you?

I'm afraid I'm up in north west.

There is a UK based forum www.clubscuderia.co.uk (I'm irarref on there) but I recommend you use both as there's lots of good folk on both :)

I've had to fix most things on my car - there's a thread in link below but youll need to join to see pics:

    348 DIY "Restoration"

There's also a meet of 348 owners planned on 18th August near Bedfordshire so get yourself along and you can meet plenty of owners for tips

Thanks very much Jeff, the fuse was actually in the location that dkilka suggested, if yours ever packs up, look there (other side to the relays you have photo'd by ABS pump).

Thanks for your help though its very much appreciated.

Your welcome Tim, glad to be of help. I actually live in Perth, Western Australia. I emigrated from the UK in 2005. Owned my 348 in the UK before selling and buying a 360 in 2004. I actually still own the 360 and imported it with me when I emigrated. So not really up on the UK scene. If you have a 348 you gotta join the "Brotherhood". Check out the website the348.com
This site had everything you ever wanted to know about the 348. Enjoy!

Thanks, I have the 348 and 550 and love them both. Did consider the 360 and will get one before to long I expect, lovely looking modern Ferrari. The thought behind the 348 was that I see the values turning and hope after 10 years or so they will have risen more than the money in the bank would have! I will check out the site you recommended as I have not seen it yet.
    All the best

Thanks Jeff!! That is the same site Tim, used to be called the348.com. Shows how long I've been out of the 348 scene.........

550 sounds nice, always fancied a V12 Ferrari but always worried about the depreciation and the high maintenance costs. I actually own the 360 and recently bought a F355 for the same reasons as you state for the 348. I think they will appreciate over time. Never be really expensive as too many made but should still go up more than money in the bank..... I also have a Porsche 911 C2 Cabrio which is great as the family can come too.

Well, just did some checking and it seems these breakers are available from many outlets from EBay to the local Auto Zone. Various prices from approx. $4 to $15 depending on the type you pick. They are auto as well as manual reset types and also some are listed as heavey duty which given the problems this particular circuit has caused would probably be the way to go. Most list these in the $15 range. Given the location the auto reset feature might be the best choice. Learn something new all the time.

Im in the uk and bought the one shown for £10 but as you say the are on ebay. I wish they were a bit cheaper as I would do al my fuses as they are ideal for testing plus youll never be left stranded if a fuse blows
