Hello. I know there have been mechanic referral conversations before, but I don’t see any that aren’t out of date or about models relevant to mine. I recently acquired a 1987 328 and live in upper Westchester County in the Chappaqua Mt Kisco area. I am looking for a mechanic in the area that would be appropriate for this car. I’m willing to drive for the right shop, but I don’t want to have to get the car to New Jersey or Long Island, or too deep into Connecticut. I have heard amazing things about Dominick’s in White Plains, but they seem to specialize in 1950s-70s. Also P1 Motorcars in Norwalk, but they seem to specialize in more modern cars. Anyone in the area with a mid 80s Ferrari or similar, where do you take your car? Does anyone have any experience with Meccanic Shop / 1600veloce in North Salem? So far, that seems to be the only truly local option. Thanks in advance for recommendations. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I heard good first-hand recommendations for both Dominick's and Meccanic, but have not used them personally. Another local shop is Motor Classic in Bedford Hills but they seem to be mostly focused on full restorations and selling vehicles. I'm in Westchester too but my car has only gone to Bradan in Long Island so far. I need a more local shop for routine maintenance etc...
Thanks for the info, very helpful! I’m definitely willing to send the car somewhere further afield for major stuff, but looking local for basic maintenance items. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
That place looks really neat. Great website. I'm surprised that it has never come up in the myriad searched I have done. Thanks!
What about Classic Coach Repair in Elizabeth, NJ? It’s an hour from Chappaqua but they’re probably one of the best in the business. You have the piece of mind you’re going to the best place. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
The timing of this perfect, because I also need to get my 550 serviced in Northern Westchester. I was also considering Meccanic Shop / 1600Veloce. Does anyone have any experience with them?
AutoHaus of Boston the right destination for all vintage and classics we pick up and deliver in an inclosed triller from any location in New England.
