Rutlands quoted me $650 and I just called Silver Star and they quoted $450. Does $450 seem reasonable.

Compared to $650? Yes, very reasonable :)

On a whim I just checked Eurospares and they list a front lower 328 wishbone for 177Euros:

    http://www.eurospares.co.uk/partsListing.asp?M=1&Mo=664&A=1&B=38950&S=&ID4=1574624

Funny since the same 308 wishbone from them is 385Euros. They look identical judging by the photo you posted, just stamped welded steel but maybe the geometry is a bit different.

Anyway Eurospares quoted me about 100Euros shipping I believe, which put their price well above the one I got from Specialized.
But if the 328 wishbone is available and really that cheap (and should be new), then it's worth giving them a call.
They took a while to get back to me via email (albeit a good detailed response) so might be worth calling.

A think from Ferrari that wishbone for a 308 is well over $700. Strangely there is a big difference front/rear upper/lower. All parts are similar in contruction so I have no idea why there is a range of $600-$1000 for new parts, must be availability.

    good luck
    Kurt

good deal - I've bought stuff from them (Kathy, Don, Patric I think), but on the wishbones they had quoted me a bit higher than that. Must be the economy now :)

good luck getting everything together and back on the road

The replacement part is here. Yeaaa! They sent me the wrong one. Boooo! They sent me the right instead of the left. They said they will overnight the correct one. Hopefully it will be here tomorrow. Why can't this be easy!

I got the correct part on Saturday morning. I had the car together by lunch time. I was able to take the car to Concorso Hartford with hours to spare! I will be delivering the car to Miller for the recall work and an alignment next week.

I thought the 328 and Mondial share some front suspension components. Is that true, and if so, why wouldn't the Mondial be subject to the same recall?

There are significant differences in the Mondial suspension starting with the so called "anit dive" set up and more negative wheel offset. The suspension upgrade on 328's during 1988 brought the two suspensions closer together design wise.

My car is #75553 does it go up to this number or include this number? I looked at the recall notice that was posted and it is a bad copy and can't tell if the number is 75553 or 75563. Next time I'm under the car I will take a look and put a caliper on them.
