No can do...I’m currently traveling so I won’t be able to post any photos for a couple of weeks, but I remember that I had to buy a very cheap ($10) lock-set from buckleguy to get the key. Also as I (vaguely) recall, the key was blank on both sides, but don’t quote me on this (I’ll check when I get home). This was all about three years ago. Bottom line: take a look at the offerings on the buckleguy website or simply email them ([email protected]) to see what they have available. Alan N.J.
I wonder if Buckleguy is selling actual Amiet locks with keys, or just something very similar. Whether they are Amiet or not, they are also new items and not the actual period originals. Either way, looks like another option for those wanting a key. All based on what you want.
I seem to remember them selling only keys with 37 stamped on them. Those would work just fine- depends on how OEM correct you want to be.
I took advantage of having some of the top all original 328’s gathered together yesterday at the Cavallino Classic to ask some owners to look at their keys. Here are a couple. Jeff, I found a 47. It's on the way from a briefcase in Seattle as we speak. Holy Grail, indeed. LOL!! Enjoy FL!
