Great news. But where did you get the new modules?
I just google the Bosch nr and found them online. Euro 32 a piece. They only came without heat transfer paste so I had to order that seperately
Those little ones. OK.
I don't know how common that belief is. I have seen it but it is quite unusual as I said. Of hundred or more I have changed two or three have caused a poor running issue.
Probably a language thing. What I meant was that indeed it seems rather uncommon.
For me, this "common behaviour" made me not considder them in the first place.
By ignition modules , do you mean the coils ?
That's not the coil itself. It's a little black electronic module that is screwed to the coil assembly heat sink.
FWIW I had an intermittent coil assembly go bad on one bank many years ago. But when it would go out, I would lose the whole bank, and the car became a 4 cylinder. Not sure if it was the module or the coil because I replaced the whole assembly. It was probably the module. Funny how the other bank coil assembly has never gone out since the car was new.
Mine was a mondial but gone 6 years ago so cannot remember exactly, it was giving strong coil indications so almost right
