    There were 135 US 328 GTB produced: the list of all GTBs produced includes only 135 US VINs.
    If you can list 220 328 GTB imported in the US, that would mean that 85 GTBs coming from other markets were also imported in the US, which seems very high to me?

    To my best knowledge there is 135 North American 328GTB produced, I Don't konw if all were delivered new in US ( and Canada ) but as Bruno I Don't understand the number of "220 imported" car in your comment. Do you mean that +/- 100 GTB were imported ( from Europe ) in US in addition ?

    It is also my understanding that there was approximately 135 US GTB’s produced from the factory, though they were not equally made between 1986 and 1989. 1989 was the lowest production year at around 36 cars, from what I have been told.

    I think you talk about "model year" as US guy always refer, so US GTB with VIN as ZFFXA19AxK00xx. In that case there is 37 cars ( Still from my own data and not confirm by … )
    The first one is own by F-Chatter and registered ...….1 OF 37 ;)

    Sorry guys, my number was off. My main point is, there are around 120 cars on the registry that keep coming up for sale and the remaining cars that were imported don't come up, ever. Maybe they exist, they just can't be found.

    Actually, by the way, I think 120 identified positively out of 135 is a pretty good score.
    The remaining 15 or so might, as it is usually the case, either be hidden by collectors, one or two might have been destroyed (?) and "some" might have been exported...when researching lists of cars, there is always a "ceiling": numbers climb rather rapidly up to that "ceiling", but beyond that, they become very hard to discover...

    328 production started to "tail off" after February 1989, when the 348 production started; from March until September, 348 production gathered momentum while the 328 production started to reduce. I have the datas - factory figures - for GTB production by calendar year, that is Jan 1st to Dec 31st, not by model year; but not by markets, the whole production, all markets included.

    F.W.I.W, production by calendar year (= Jan 1st to Dec 31st):
    1985 (328 production starts in September) = 53 GTBs, 550 GTSs
    1986 = 373 GTBs, 1,467 GTSs
    1987 = 335 GTBs, 1,414 GTSs
    1988 = 334 GTBs, 1,548 GTSs
    1989 = 249 GTBs, 1,089 GTSs
    328 production stops early September 1989.

    Do your records indicate how many of each were US DOT cars?

    Funny...One of these elusive US 328 GTB is for sale in France, just 60 miles or so from my home place. Considering the location of the seller, it has probably spent part of its life in Belgium, Luxemburg or Germany. It is a 88 1/2 or a 89, but no information about the VIN. A clue might be the red roof spoiler...it also has a rigid (plastic) air admission duct, not the supple/flexible conduct of the last cars, so I would say in the 77xxx, 78xxx to 79xxx range, if that duct is original. This despite the first date of registration said to be June 1989.
    It would match 77028, which was for sale in Belgium sometime ago; I don't recall the pics when it was for sale at Francorchamps Moteurs, the color of the roof spoiler would have helped...

    Two different cars, the first one is a RHD "Série 1", concave wheels; the second one, RHD also, a "Série 2", convex wheels.
    Slightly out of the topic, which is about US GTBs...

    Well, certainly not a cardinal sin: always a pleasure to see a GTB, even with the steering wheel on the "wrong" side.

    "Wrong" being between brackets, because as a british friend of mine explained to me a few years back, Right Hand Drive is actually the "right" side (according to them) and every country should have adopted it, because it is more logical. It has something to do with horse carriages, wagons, etc...and the driver holding the whip in his right hand, the exposed side, to protect the passenger, so a vehicle should be driven from the Right Hand side; the culprits for the Left Hand choice for cars are the French, who do everything the wrong way (according to the Brits...).

    I just realize that I never heard or saw any picture of Blu US 328GTB, even if there were four various Blu available : Blu Sera; Blu Chiaro, Blu Medio and Azzurro. Did someone ever seen one ?

    Serial 68647 A White 328GTB sold for $95,200 at the Bonhams Auction in AZ. 15,100 mile car. As far as I knew, there' were only two White GTB's in America. I have the other one.

    https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/25101/lot/43/ link to Bonhams auction of the 328GTB. I only saw this car because I was looking at a Testarossa that was auctioned off. Lots of pictures of the White car.

    The car in the auction is a standard tan interior, black dash car. My white car has an interior with a BROWN leather dash, and other differences, that makes it look more like a Testarossa interior. Pretty incredible, my car has almost the same 15K miles as the auction car. I've driven it four thousand in five years.

    Saw pictures from Driversource and I would like to see this car with my eyes, I also would like find a 328 with color interior like yours. I think the dashboard and carpets are "Testa di Moro" and the seats 'Beige 3218". Could you confirm ?
