Anyone plan on entering their cars?? Because its Maseratis 100th Anniversary, Maserati will be a featured marque at the event. 31st Annual Colorado Concours d'Elegance & Exotic Sports Car Show
I'll be there too. Not sure what I'll bring yet. Possibly the Daytona or the Countach. Although maybe the 550 as I think that would win the judging.
Ryan, why don't you bring my future Countach .. Lets grab lunch again soon... Bill, the Colorado Maserati Club is hoping for a big turn out of Maseratis so I will be bringing the Merak, I was planning to be at the INDY race in Texas on the 7th so had planned to flat bed the car to the show. But plans changed and I will be able to bring it.
What makes you think I bought something else? I have more cool cars than just those three. BUT, since you did ask, something with a deposit from me is getting PPI'd any day now... You've known me for over 10 years now. I think you probably know me TOO well. Sold the Alfa. I needed a AWD wagon for all my bikes and crap. And carpooling kids to school. Actually, maybe that would be the best car to bring.
I'll be there with Isabella, and judging Ferraris. Come check out the clear bar done by Extreme Autoworks in Lakewood. They ROCK.
Brings to mind the amazing event that Bill and Phillis hosted at Stewart's Classics, Inc., December 3, 1994. Coco Chinetti, Denise McCluggage and Phil Hill were there to remember Luigi Chinetti. It should be fun.
wow what a shame, bad weather and hail causing most cars to leave only after a few hours. My family turned around and returned home as most of the rare cars had left the field. I felt bad for the vendors... Anyway got some cool pics first thing in the morning, it was nice meeting you Bill, and Ryan, I saw your car but didn't see you... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Jason, Nice meeting you also. You all had a great contingent of Maseratis'. I didn't take one photo, I apologize. Bill
Super Maser turnout. Who had the unrestored QPI? Good to meet another chatter, Victor! Sounds like I just missed a silver CT? Sherpa?
I had leave to miss the hail. The organizer was pretty upset but I don't think he realized that this car is the LP5000S prototype. It has an ultra thin aluminum skin and even a little hail would be a problem. The car is a piece of history and I don't know if he understands that a minor hailstorm could be catastrophic. I barely got it home in time. Anyways, sorry you missed it. Here is a pic: Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is why I don't enter my 348 in that show anymore. Last time I was in that show same thing happened with the weather. I was leaving at about 1:30 and got chewed out big time. I told them I wasn't going to sit there and wait for the bad weather to arrive. Got my 348 back to Conifer and in the garage just as hail hit Conifer. Turns out the weather got so bad at the show they couldn't even do the awards ceremony. Winners of awards were notified by e-mail. Never again. I like to show up for a walk through, make a donation, and visiting with folks.
