Didn't know that you could count reverse as a "speed" -- or that's a heck of a modification to have a 6spd 308 ;). That stick-on reflector has to be part of US importation modification (IIRC, the side reflectors started being required on all cars in the US made after Jan 1, 1968).

For $99,999 I'd expect the wiper's to be on the correct sides - The driver's side wiper is on the passenger's side, and the passenger's side wiper is on the driver's side!;):)

You'd think the ad would mention that it's a euro version ;)

Always worries me when no engine bay picture (plus no mention of US legal papers) -- I'd be very surprised if it is actually CA legal emission-wise (seems catless), and surprised a CA dealer is the seller.

As stated that's a Euro "repeater" turn signal lens, and NOT an amber running light required by our DOT

A Dog's dinner is what it is.......

The repeater u\is usually not in the proper location for the replacement running light, which falls further forward on Factory cars.

After looking thru all the photos I think this IS a Euro car, not sure what you see in the gauges but the fact there's NO Slow Down lights indicates there are NO CATs and Euros were NON CAT thru 1980

That would make this a "good early carbed car" but as some indicate a possible Legal quagmire...:D :D

EDIT: No, all that welding and the blank frame area next to the stamped Frame Style: Run Forrest RUN!!!

As others have mentioned, that's a bodged "reflector stuck in front of the Euro round side indicator" importation fix, not a Ferrari solution. What you really want is the standard Euro quattrovalvole front side indicator, which is a thin rectangle. Available from most of the European/UK parts vendors, this photo from www.dinoparts.de

I tried this idea once, using a pair of the 'skinny' marker lights as shown in post #10.

What I found was that the height of the skinny marker was not wide enough so to completely cover the fender center hole thru which the OEM light passed. So, nice idea, but not a bolt-on item.

However, if all that you are seeking is a different look, the holes in our fenders, front and back, are the same as the old Fiat X1/9. And also for some Russian Lada models, too, who offered a clear marker meant to be used with red or amber tinted lamps.

I bolted a set of these on my old X (see pics) and, as a trial, temporarily fitted a clear set to my 308. Ultimately decided that I preferred the OEM colors for the 308 (but I got lots of compliments from the X crowd).

They look recessed, not surface mounted. Interesting but I agree, I'll stay with the US 328 amber.

Some of the US DOT conversion houses would change the front round signal repeater light to a constant side marker, then add the rear quarter rectangular red side marker light. Interesting they added (what appears to be) the smaller Euro rectangular marker next to the original front round repeater. Could be possible the round is still a repeater and the rectangular is an added side-marker.

This looks to be a special car: Euro Carb with the optional early 16" Speedline wheels, Sport Exhaust (vs. single) and the deep front spoiler. These were optional in Europe, but I thought on a little bit later cars (1979+) The mirrors are obviously incorrect... but to me (based on the pictures) this thing looks like a keeper.

@BigTex yep, concur, if I were a serious buyer, that would give me pause. I'd need to look at the ENTIRE picture. Overall history/paperwork/documentation (& not just "maintenance" history), stuff like chassis # grind reason (if implied), importation docs, history, title, etc. Inspection of s/n in the other locations, build number... and check the s/n number with some people... Guessing not a German delivery since it doesn't have the inlet screen. If this were a Dry Sump GTB, then oh boy.
