Hello from Europe, I'm looking for informations about my GTB 1978 that I'm owning since a few years now ,it came from the States 25 Years ago ( approx. 1990 ) . Is there someone able to identify a car via VIN Number ? Thanks a lot !

The best thing would be to post its chassis number here, and maybe you would get an answer in return. Or maybe not, if no-one knows the car, but I wouldn't be surprised that someone might be able to chime in... Rgds
Well, here you go! Now we just have to wait for the time difference until our American friends wake up, and your chances are fair to good that someone here has information about the car. It did have the Koenig kit on already when it was in the States? If so, that would make it more noticeable. Rgds
Hi If its a koenig car you can contact them and they should also have information on the vechile. I also have a 308 gtb koenig and they were able to give me some extra information. Regards Steve

Thanks BigTex I have identified the Car on the registry b,and contacted Koenig in Munich, he confirmed it was an original Koenig build car . I will get the technical Papers and information ,also for the rear 11x15 wheels . I'm still looking for the history in the US ...
Then may I suggest that I think you should have given anoher title to your thread? I think that "searching history of 308 GTB 26661" would have been much more efficient, because anyone having any reminescence of the car would have looked into the thread, whereas with the actual title, only those among us that are interested in the topic of chassis number are looking into the thread... My two cents...
Although I have not been contacted by the current owner, I can add that the car was in the Netherlands in 1993: 26661. LHD. Koenig. Red/brown. Plates: XD-21-SF (NL).
