I am going to replace the interior carpet of my car this winter.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks or vendors they recommend.

It is a job that a DIY'er can do or do you recommend a shop.?

I did a seach and I just came up with floor mats. Nothing about whole carpet.

    Thanks!

I ordered mine from GAHH, and replaced it myself.

    Dave,

Was it hard to remove? What kind of glue did you use?

It wasn't that hard to remove.
I pulled the old carpet out and set it next to the car,
then laid the new pieces on top of the old to make sure they matched.

As far as glue, If I remember right I used a 3M product that was made to adhere carpet.

It's also a good time to freshen up the rest of the interior when you have the old carpet out.

I am glad you posted that pic because I have a question about the center section.

The PO of my car installed a subwoffer in the passenger seat footwell. In the process, the screw looks like it was pulled from the floor pan. Is there a way to fix that?

I am planning on doing the carpets this winter and the seats, doors and center section next year but after reading Jerry's and your threads, It looks like I might be able to the whole interior this winter.

I doubt I will find any cash unless my wife left her purse in the car :)

I am assuming that the old carper was just glued down right? Nothing to remove (trim wise) to get the carpet out?

Funny. I have that same amp installed in the trunk...LOL! Are all 308's the same!

Here are the pic's of my interior. I have a tear at the and brake and you can see the pulled screw. I am hoping a good shop can fix the tear.

After looking at the piping on the seats, I might need to have a shop do the work. I also have cavallino's on the head rest and I don't want to mess them up

I had my seats and door panels recovered at a local shop.
They looked very nice, but are starting to get some wear from my ass and all the gadgets hanging from my belt, so I have put my sheepskin seat covers back on to protect the leather.
I'd like to get a set of lightweight racing seats to drop the weight down a little and help preserve the original seats.

    Thanks!
The Bear has been a wonderful companion,
that has yet to realize just how big he is.
He has tried to get in the Ferrari numerous times but just doesn't fit.
He lost his best friend, our Rottie Katie Bear to cancer in April.
She loved to ride in the Ferrari!

I am taking the car apart now.

How do you get the center section out?

I am caught on the handbrake and shifter

From memory, as well as the screws on the bottom sides that attach to the floor, remove the shift gate screws, I think maybe one was one under the ashtray, and in the glovebox at the rear.

I took all the screw off. When I pull up to get it off, I can seem to get it over the handbrake and the very top of the shifter.

    Dave,

I did find money, it was a nickel and I named him "carl"

Did you notice that the seat rail bolt holes go threw the car? I can see sunlight.

I found a weird black speaker box near the hood latch. Not sure what it is for.

Also, seems when the po put the sub woffer in, they tossed the foot rest panel. Now I need one of those.

    Matt
