That's actually a great, great story. I"m glad that you're putting some miles on it. My car had only gotten 700 miles in 7 years (or thereabouts) and it needed the major service as well as a bunch of other work that I got sorted thanks to some miles and great drives. I can tell you that my car only gets better with each additional mile. I am sure that your car does, too. I'm glad that your dad can still enjoy it. I hope to see it in person at some point. I love that interior.

Hmmm, I guess I did indeed miss the title of your post.

Seems like you haven't lost your touch for details, even though you've been out of the saddle for some time :) And yes, I was aware of what FCA stands for. Before I joined Ferrarichat (and before I bought my Dino), I've been lurking on FCA's forum for quite some time. Lots of knowledge there too (I guess from the same people who are posting here :))

Incidentally, I am amazed by the fact that your car doesn't have more votes yet. It looks just stunning!!

Why do you drive her so little???

I've done about 700 miles last week alone! 6000 miles in 6 months of ownership. If fuel weren't so incredibly expensive over here (nearing $8 per gallon), I'd throw out the Bimmer and make the Dino my daily driver (which it nearly is anyway)

    :D

Too much conflict of interest.....only one fair and equitable solution; you all vote for me.

That wasn't me. That was the previous owner. That was the sad shape my car was in when I got it. Then I set out to making it right but replacing all kinds of parts and putting good miles on it. 175 to 200 miles days are not uncommon for me. It runs extremely well now and has been (knock on wood) pretty reliable for the most part.

Thanks for the kind words about my car and her story. You are so right about the car getting better with each additional mile. I find that the more time I spend in it the more I appreciate various nuances about it, from the view out the windshield over the front fenders, to the smell of the leather, to the feel of the gear lever moving from one slot to the next as the revs increase along with the sound of the engine ...its a car that truly involves all the senses. Hopefully someday you will get to see her in person.

    Best regards,
    Dino

Chris, re-reading your initial posting made me chuckle a bit.

The largest Fchat thread in history??

Have a look at our "home" thread (our = the Dutch and Flemish Fchatters):

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=119

Note the "Nederlandstalig - Dutch speaking" thread. Views: 420,974. Replies 21,802.

We've got a loooooooong way to go in this thread :D:D:D

Very nice thread though, this... ;)

I lived in Belgium, years ago, and right about the time that I could understand Flemish I moved from Europe. I looked at that thread and I barely remember any of the words. Aye.

I've heard people complain that they could not vote. They supposedly got a message saying "You can not vote on this poll", or something along those line. Is voting on this for subscribed members only? (As in paying subscribed, rather than merely registered)

Okay, I don't have all the pictures necessary to qualify for the contest (and it's past the deadline anyway) but I couldn't resist posting the photographs I took last weekend. BTW, I have 100,400 miles on the odometer. Does anyone know of a higher mileage 308?

    Hey folks,

For my Rachel to be considered a contender in the company of so many beautiful Ferraris spanning a 20 year period, is truly a compliment. We thank you for your support.

    Cheers, Hank

A European Azzuro 308 GTB would have stolen the show for me, but I'm very happy with my vote. :)
