    Fred,

Its the lighting or whatever but is quite beautiful in that color, always liked it ,do you know if its blue chiarro or another color? check door tag might spell it out ? Interesting I've never seen another with buttresses done in the monochromatic look, definitely caught my eye. Yeah! rubber.... why? Probably too complicated to stamp in steel (and likely to take a ding to all those edges) and there is no Fiberglass yet on that model, so.....................Guido, more rubber? ,yep. In fact, my center top piece has a 3" blister, its either replacement or I've been thinking about molding them in carbon fiber since mine's black.

Was at a car show this past weekend and saw a beautiful 308 on these wheels lowered as well and wanted to ask if the front tires rub.

Do you experiance any tire rubbing on turns or going up driveways? Your car looks awesome! What size rear tires can you fit in there?

    17" 255/40's in the rear

    its lowered on QA1 setup.

the rear springs are way too soft (250's), and it bottoms out in the corners under hard driving on less than perfect roads.

really no tire rubbing at all, but you have to be very careful going over bumps etc.

the soft springs is the only real problem, those are coming off in the next month or so.

Thanks for the info, The guy at the show had QA1's as well, I was just wondering if the front tires hit the inner wheel well lip.

These cars look great lowered. I'm sure it's really an issue getting over speed bumps and such, but they look great on the road! Nice Car!

    Thanks!
zero tire rub. you get used to the lower stance going over curbs etc.

    Hi Chris,

I'm not sure if you were referring to my car (if you were, thanks for the compliment). Anyway, I have 16" HRE's not Compomotives. It's lowered almost 2" in front and about 1.5" in the rear IIRC. Ground clearance is down to about 4". No rubbing, but if lowered too much the front tires can "grab" the fender lip (don't ask me how I know). I'm running 215/50 in front. My springs are 300 in fornt and 250 in the rear and have not had any issues.

Sorry, we didn't get to chat, but my son kind of ran the show while we were there. I'm sure we'll hook up again on a drive or just call me.

Hi Henry, Yes I was talking about your car. Sometimes cars just look right. Of all the cars at that show, yours really stood out. When I do my suspension, I'll probably take your route. Plus your wheels really help set it off. Nice car! I like the GTB treatment as well.

Had to ditch the 20 year old TRX's and stumbled upon some attractively priced 360 wheels. Probably will go back to the stock someday....

I had these 16" refinished in gloss black w/ polished rim. I believe the manufacturer is ARE. I also used the "tilting" effect in my photo editor to give the pic the unusual dimension.

Not a fan of aftermarket wheels but that's the sweetest 308 I've seen.... especially from the "butt-end." Nice :)
