Missing from this thread - but mentioned elsewhere - the straps on the airducts - PN 10292390 - are available from Ricambio as "Air Intake Hose Securing Clips - Classic Fiat 500, 126" for £2.55. Makes replacing all four of them an option while introducing some shine into my engine bay on the way. Nice to see the Fiat 500 shares some parts with the 308.
Great (and timely) shout. These cost at least 6 times that price + Delivery + VAT from the usual go-to source.
Window scraper trim £8.40 a metre. I haven't used this myself but it looks about right. It's certainly worth investigating as it's 10% of the price at the usual suspects! https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/flocked-window-trim-drip-seal-per-metre
I have a lot of this seal left for anyone who needs some. It slots into the front of the doors’ quarter window (to seal on the A pillar.) Not sure of the part number. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Axle boots- Hello all- Im looking for axle boots for a '78 308 GTS They're held on with clamps, not a flat flange, as some are. Thanks, Tom B
Air Conditioning System - Pressure Cut-off Switch This is also known as the "Universal Air Conditioner HVAC Binary Switch". It opens the compressor clutch if the a/c system pressure drops below or rises above pressure limits. In 308s, it screws into the bottom of part #106646 and is not assigned a part number in the Spare Parts Catalogue. Some cross-reference model numbers are: 23203; 954086; SP4086; 5811374; 50008; MT1481; SW569. I believe you can search on any one of those and find it. It turns out these a/c switches are extremely generic and readily available. I purchased one on Amazon for $9.42. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Replacing the Coolant Fan switch in the radiator. at this time, the only supplier of replacement switches that I am able to find is NAPA. I searched for '77 VW Rabbit switch and I could only find the NAPA Echlin FA252 currently available. Replaced it today and it works like it's supposed to. How long?? Who knows?? https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/ECHFS252
ABS Control Relay, Ferrari part # 62567200 It lives in the relay box mounted behind the passenger footboard. The Ferrari part is unobtanium, but a good replacement is this one for only a couple of bucks - https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/cit-relay-and-switch/A21ASQ12VDC1-6D/12503356 The relay powers not only the ABS system, but also the regular brakes. It supplies power and trigger voltage to the relays in the front compartment that cause the pump to run and pressurize the accumulator. So it is absolutely critical to brake function in the ABS-equipped cars. This new relay works correctly, but the pins 85 and 86 are reversed from the original. This is important because the new relay contains a diode across the coil to protect the upstream switch (in this case, the ignition switch). A jumper arrangement will be required to install it, unless you decide to swap the car wiring going to the 85 and 86 sockets.
Apologies if already posted here, but the replacement windscreen washer pump is NAPA 665-3902. With mine, the pump gave up but the tank and associated parts were fine. $22.00. You'll need a little dielectric grease to assemble the gasket and pump to the tank. A pigtail connector is supplied by NAPA, but the factory harness seems to match up with the new pump perfectly.
anyone know if the valve guides are cross ref'd with any other cars? Or am I stuck going OEM? for ' Mondial 8
