To be more accurate, the SF90 won the drag races (AWD, so of course). However, during the roll races, the SF90 won the first one (they started in auto mode and the 296 didn’t kick down fast enough). The second race they started in manual mode in 2nd at 30mph the 296 won by a long shot (SF90 spun). The third, the SF90 got a better start and won, but the 296 was slowly gaining up top. This aligns with every video I’ve seen to date. SF90 is faster from a stop, but from a roll the 296 and SF90 is a literal driver’s race, depending on gear selection and traction, with the 296 being typically faster up top. Great video!
Of course that’s what you saw. You’re delusional when it comes to this topic. No worries though, as the other Carwow video between these two (above) clearly shows the 296 being quicker from a roll, yet again. Hence the reason Mat Watson stated during the last roll race as he’s driving the 296, “this is definitely quicker”. But what does he know? lol
What you are referring to happened in the video you posted. Definitely not in the original video of this topic though. Now, who is delusional?
The guy who can’t see the 296 slightly catching the SF90. The guy who thinks averages from Z-Perf are the best way to measure peak performance capabilities of cars. The guy who completely dismissed the original Carwow video (the one I posted above) as not being real evidence, yet now accepts the newest video because the SF90 performed better than it did in the prior one. That guy. That guy is delusional.
They were staying even, Mat said it too. Watch it again. Different cars, different days. It is quite amusing that you accept one video and dismiss the otehr. Even better, that you dismiss the averages from multiple different tests. I guess that statistics was not a part of your uni study programme...
I think we can both agree we’re splitting hairs here. Both cars are way quicker than we’d ever need and explosively fun.
I'm actually the only of us that has accepted both videos. Unlike you, I simply clarified what actually happened in each one. And yes, I had statistics in both of my masters programs as well as my undergrad program, which is why I know NOT to use them for the purposes of comparing best to best performance runs (not averages). I am curious about one thing. Since you argue so hard for the SF90 when it comes to comparisons to the 296, do you actually own a SF90? Or are you just a SF90 nut-rider? It's perfectly fine if you don't own one. I just want to understand if your arguments are based on actual experience, or a lack of it.
SF90 is quicker then 296 GTB. I drove 296 on track, back roads and highway it is slower than SF90. I dont know what happened on that Carwow video but Youtube contents does not show anything i suggest you to check the Dragy leaderboard fot 1/4 mile and etc. you never know the condition or drivers ability on those videos maybe SF90 had some problems maybe 296 was a press car i can assure you 296 can't beat the SF90. Take a look at draggy leaderboard.
I’ve owned both. My 296 was quicker from a roll than my SF90 on Dragy (296 = 4.8 60-130, SF90 = 5.1 60-130, similar conditions, same road). I guess I was lucky enough to get a press car from the factory!
Post SS. I tried with bunch of 296's non of them passed me, After 300 KM/h they were all gone far behind me, we pushed till 350 KM/h
Sounds like you have a factory freak! You should post your 60-130 time. It has to be faster than my 296’s 4.8, and significantly faster than my SF90 (which, at 5.1, is the same that Dragtimes ran in his on a dragstrip). Or, the head to head videos, media tests, and timed runs by people who own both cars could all be part of a well thought out, well-planned conspiracy intended to trick people into thinking the 296 is faster than it actually is. That’s a strong possibility as well.
Enjoy I heard if you defend the 296 hard enough till all the dealers move their 296's your Dealer give you Tailor made allocation for the new Laf !
And here is my 296’s 100-200 (which is an 4.81 60-130). And I even had a worse DA than you did. Enjoy! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Lucky to you!! you got more Maranello spagetti than any of us !! Try with an Chiron maybe you will beat it.
My 296 wasn’t any faster than any of the other ones running 93 octane and using qualifying mode. Nah. Those run 3.4.
I don’t know of any other head to head videos that exist between the two cars other than Carwow. Are you concerned Carwow is part of the 296 conspiracy? I’m pretty sure the Turbo S guys were concerned about it when Carwow posted the SF90 vs 992 Turbo S video a while back. Similar theme here. If your car wins, it’s a valid race. But if it loses, it’s a conspiracy, a fix, or involved a ringer press car!
