Not sure I'm good enough to even understand your suggestion but your basic point is well made - thanks
Agreed. OPF needs to go on all cars. aftermarket shops will do quite well. I wonder for the US market who sells a state legal exhaust (if there is such a thing).
only way to know for your market is to call the dealer. In the US, i've been told that the dealers will only sell to customers within a 100 mile radius (there may be exceptions but only for long standing clients). Don't think anyone with no history can get the VS. I was also told and this can be market specific that not all customers that bought GTB and GTS got allocation either.
I listened to the preview of the sound of the upcoming 296 VS via the APP. In all honesty, it sounded the same as my 296 GTB AF.
I disagree, but capturing the true sound of a car is always difficult. My personal view is that 99.9% of all the videos get it wrong because the microphone is close to the windscreen in the camera whereas is should be clos to the head of the driver.
It's a great car, I have one but visually I hate the wing. It's too much for off the track. Obnoxiously large. Image Unavailable, Please Login The Pista, 458, McLaren 765 LT are perfect examples of just the right changes over the general production. That's what I'm hoping for.
Can you pls elaborate on why they would not have been allocated? Dealers i have talked to have said yes. When are they required to submit the names to Ferrari. I was told very shortly after the reveal.
I got my allocation through a last minute purchase. "We'll remove someone less deserving" is what I was told.
Because they’ll make more. When the Pista was first released it was “hard to get” and then all of a sudden there were more. We’re lying to ourselves to thing same playbook won’t bear out. I do have any allocation, only verbal, I haven’t paid a deposit.
I will not be surprised if the dealers will use this as a way to improve their top line, sales numbers etc. For clients that are guaranteed an allocated would have gotten it. the rest is perhaps at the discretion of the dealer based on purchase history, relationship and whoever wants to play ball.
This is an excellent point. You know those deals and offers cellular service companies put out but “only applies to new accounts. Existing customers not eligible”? Some dealers may figure their VIPs are entrenched anyway why not entice some newbies?
It has the hood with the air ducts and the rockers I mentioned. I'm guessing a wing as well. Probably fixed though. No need for them to spend on active aero, people will buy it anyways.
How do know the hood & rockers but not the rear wing? Had you seen it first hand? I hope you're right!
If you scroll back a few pages, you will see someone did a screen grab from the teaser video and it shows tiny winglets above the tail lights. No fixed wing for sure.
