Question about other user's experience with the Ferrari Configurator specifically for the 296 GTB. I currently have an allocation for 296 GTB and have been to the dealer several times over the past year to configure the car. The last configuration we settled on had an extracampionario color code PNTE (Rosso Fuoco, Giallo Triple Stato, Etc) for the body and PNTX code livery. The color for the body and livery are not the typical colors you can select online via the Ferrari configurator. When I load up MyFerrari app, the configuration is linked to my account and says "Configuration Processing". I cannot see the configuration or spec that was settled on. Has anyone else come across this issue when spec'ing a 296 GTB or GTS? It seems like the Ferrari Configurator is not able to load non-standard colors that are not listed on the website.
There are many threads here that cars are described as pending in the MyFerrari app even after delivery so don't worry about its correctness or completeness - just be sure the one you sign off is correct
The dealer version of the configurator is able to render a wider range of colours and options that are not available on the online version. I've ordered a GTS in a PNT1 colour and my dealer was able to render it along with a semi analine leather colour on his version of the system and send me a PDF brochure copy. As to the app I believe that will only list your spec once the order has been called in, accepted and loaded into the system for production by the factory. It will only show "Extra Campionaro - Not Standard" for any out of range colour or spec options such as leather or livery colours.
