Hello Everyone, This is going to be my first Ferrari and I am seeking recommendations around overall spec and most importantly which seats option to go for. For seats, I am looking for comfort, style and desirability. I am heading to spec the car next week. Exterior color: Ross Scuderia | Bicolor | Scuderia Ferrari fender shields Wheel: Forged diamond polished rims | Giallo Modena brake callipers | Titanium wheel bolts Exhaust: Black Ceramic Coated Tailpipes Carbon steering wheel with leds | Carbon fibre upper tunnel trim Driving: Suspension Lifter | Front And Rear Parking Sensors (AFS System ?? | Garage door openers??) Infotainment: Apple carplay | Premium Hifi System | Smartphone wireless charger Anti-theft: Not finalized (No idea what SVR system or SVR system with Card is) Interior probably in full Alcantara. Interior: Not finalized (Crema with red stitching and accents OR Nero with yellow/red stitching and accents) Seats: Not Finalized Thank you for the help in advance. -A Image Unavailable, Please Login
Having had a few, without a doubt, the most comfortable seats are always the carbon race seats. I had a loan of a 296GTB with the comfort seats and put 1000 miles on it. Comfort seats are a misnomer, IMHO. Try and get a decent length test drive with the carbon seats before making a final decision.
Exactly! I think the Daytona seat pattern is great in 'period' cars and less so in more contemporary models. Alcantara centres are the way to go for me too.
Rosso Corsa, Black Roof, Nero interior with New "Style" seats (I presume Comfort), Rosso Stitching, Rosso Horse on Headrest, Rosso leather seat Inserts, Alcantara Central seat trim, S/F Shields, Forged Painted Rims, Titanium Wheel Bolts, Black Brake Calipers (might change to Silver), Black Ceramic Coated Tailpipes, Carbon Steering Wheel and Paddles,w/LED, Dash and Console, Front Lift, Homelink
My GTS should be here later this month. This is the spec I have gone for and am pretty happy with. I drove a GTB on road and track at Fiorano last year and borrowed a GTS for the weekend recently: EXTERIOR Grigio Titanio INTERIOR Ciocolatto with silver contrast stitching Scuderia Shields Forged Matt Grigio Corsa diamond painted rims Black callipers Shields Titanium wheel nuts Carbon fibre front spoiler - Outer Carbon fibre under doors - Outer Carbon fibre rear diffuser - Outer Racing seats (normal NOT Daytona) Racing seat lifter Embroidered prancing horse on headrests in silver Coloured inner details Alcantara (silver) Carbon steering wheel with LEDS Suspension lifter Adaptive front light system Black exhaust (must have as the silver quickly discolours) the car is intended to match my silver Ferrari Dino 246GT - the original Dino and the “new Dino” as it were. You can see it on Insta: @dino_diary
Looks like competition is between: Specific Design Racing Seats vs Daytona Racing Carbon Seats Comfort wise, it looks these racing seats are better than what Lamborghini makes as their race seats (their sports seat is popular). I also like the looks of these..
Hi Dino_Argento, Are you london based ? My gts should be here end of this month Also. I have a GTB atm. which dealer did you go through ?
I have the carbon seat. It’s not bad. BUT for a gts. Please consider heated neck Warner ! Especially in London. that forces a comfort seat. Get fully electric.
haha I didn't know neck warmers are so desirable.. I have never heard of this in any other brand.. I am in US
I haven't specced it at the dealership just yet, but I can pull something up on the online configurator for you
Spec’d carbon sears for both builds. Not Daytona as that’s just dated now in a modern design. When you go in to spec you can see it clearly when the two seats are side by side.
Hi Dino, what spec did you go with ? Would be good to meet up and compare cars once we both get our cars. Hoping for mine early July. we are both getting early cars ! I haven’t seen on GTS’s on the road here in London.
Out of curiosity, how did you manage to get an allocation for a 296 GTS with this being your first Ferrari? Have heard that the allocations are all gone and not available to anyone who doesn’t have an existing dealer relationship.
I have no firm delivery date but is in late build. I will keep you posted. My spec is listed above on this thread
