Yep, 235’s on the front to balance the difference in rotational diameter. I forget the amount of variance allowed but 235/295’s work, many other folks running them. I like the added wheel protection.
Thanks that is interesting as reading online apparently 285 should be the max size tire for a 10" rim. Here is an example: Tyre equivalence: Car tyre tips - Pneus Online (tyres-pneus-online.co.uk) What make/model of tire are you using please, and can I see some pics of the rears ? Thanks again.
Rob- 295/35 19 MPS4S tires fit 10-11.5" wheel widths. Easy to check on TireRack's website with data from the actual manufacturer. The website above has suspect data compared to manufacturers' actual recommendations.
@PPW can you post pics of that setup? Currently running 235/35 PS4s in the front of a CS but still using 285/35 in the rear. The diameter of the 295/35 fits without rubbing?
These cars are set too high from the factory to rub. You could put lp640 wide tires and they wouldn’t rub. They would just stick out. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Is 295/35 the best size for the rears on a stock 10” rim? I’ve heard of some people running 295/30 in the rear. Does the ediff on a F430 complain about either size tire?
Jeremy- Owners have been using one size larger in front (235/35 19) to go along with the 295/35 rears and that is well below the 4-5% front to rear difference from OEM range the ABS system tolerates. 295/30 19 tires are 25.97" in diameter vs 27.13" for the 295/35 19 tires. Quite a difference in diameter and approaching the range where ABS gets unhappy. E-diff gets inputs from ABS/Stability Control wheel sensors.
Thanks, Taz! That was the conclusion I came to as well. 235/35/19 up front and 295/35/19 at the back will be what I go with. Thank you!
I believe the MPS4S 295 is a Mercedes spec and the tread width is actually the same as the 285/35 other tires are different but from what I could find online it might not be an upgrade for that model
just be mindful that by going up to 235 and 295 you are adding approx 0.75 to 1kg extra unsprung weight to each corner.
I am running 430 centerlocks tires mp4s front,245 35 19 rear 305 30 19 if anyone needs pics let me know lol. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
so you guys recon 295/35R19 is fine, I did notice a F430 with 305/30R19 but I did not look at the front tyre sizes.
