Excellent movie by Peter Klutt (Legendary Motorcars) . He knows what he is talking about. And the car is outstanding as well. Marcel Massini
Fully finished just like the long nose 2 cam street car. A real joy to drive. Its enough lighter and with that engine its very responsive. Entire drivetrain sits about a inch lower in the chassis. Very special piece.
thanks. i asked because the steering wheel looks like its from a Daytona. also, did the factory install a roll bar on its racecars?
I was lucky enough to own one of these cars for over 15 years. I have not seen the video, but the steering wheel should be leather covered and no roll bars from the factory.
thanks Dyke. for clarification, should it be a leather covered wood wheel or a leather wheel like the daytona?
Ed: It is actually like a 4 Cam steering wheel. They are similar to a Daytona. Many years go, I wrote extensively, in a couple of issues of Cavallino and Prancing Horse, about the GTB/C cars. Most of today's articles about the cars are based on my writing and they use all the information I researched and discovered. Today, they just fail to give me any credit for the work all those years go.
I remember it well. A primer for anyone who wants to know about competition 275s of all stripes. Also where I read the phrase ‘GTO 65’, which perfectly described the development culminating in the 275 GTB Comp Speciale(s).
Shot of me presenting 09067 its award at Hilton Head Concours in 2018. I noticed many subtle body differences between it and a standard 275 most notably in the curvature and shape of front fenders. A remarkable car and wonderful restoration. Image Unavailable, Please Login Photo from Hilton Head Concours website
