24 Stunden Nürburgring 25-26 June 2011

I caught a few minutes before leaving for work, now I'll stream it through the laptop as I drive to calls! Forza Ferrari and P 4/5 Comp!

 

+1 lap down now. They need to get moving. The 911 Hybrid is leading and doing well again this year. Its upping its time on track. 9 laps stint 1 and now 10 or 11 on stint 2. Tough to beat this if it keeps up!

The Napolis P4 car is 5 laps down from the out-right leaders. We have all night to grind through yet, though.
Damn! It looks good.

 

I am listening to this feed as it is in English, while watching the Audi feed as it seems to be a higher resolution.

Cameron is in the P4 atm. His feedback shows him maintaining a good pace.

If anyone can drag the #2 Farnbacher 358 back into contention Jaime Melo and Allan Simonsen are a good choice. Both professional endurance Ferrari drivers. They're a quick pair.

Top 30 cars in quali - "get out of my way".

 

Manthey Porsche team is always strong. We shall see. Alot of time to go still. Maybe the Ferrari will find a break.

 

sitting here in the pits with jim. very exciting !! despite multiple issues after being punted from behind early on, the car is pressing on, and will hopefully finish !!!

The MB SLS makes a great looking race car.

Feel bad for the VW driver that fell out on the last lap of a 24 hr race, yikes.

Somebody needs to come up with a comprehensive live timing system that includes class standings and marque. Ideally sortable by class & marque and searchable by race number & marque.

Should not share a race weekend with F1 or at least stagger the start times so that they finish at least an hour apart if not two.

More thoughts to come as warranted.

 

I really enjoyed it, first time I following it and I must say next year I will make the effort to be there no doubt about it, had the F1 going on my phone also and tomorrow (for me) Pikes Peak!

Grew up loving the the era of Ferrari sports car endurance racing.

It's so great Napolis is doing what he is and allowing us to come along visually.

Thanks very much and congratulations on a solid finish despite the contact and its resultant problems during the night slowing them down.
