24 Hours of Nurburgring 2015

Well that sucks. Sorry to hear about the wreck Jimmy. I am glad to hear the driver is okay. Which is a testament to the care and safety engineered into the car.

 

What kind of times is the SCG car doing around the circuit? I see no time recorded I guess due to the crash of 002. Good to hear everyone is safe.

If it crashed at "only" 200kph in Kesselchen it must have been at the uphill, slightly off camber left hander towards the end of that section. Which is actually "Mutkurve" or colloquially "Angstkurve" (courage curve/fear curve).

For the ~1 mile before that it's got to be doing well over 200, even in the rain at night.

It's been withdrawn as complete repairs are not possible, before the race.
Both cars had prequalified.

Everything now rides on the remaining black car...Jim's entry.
The yellow one was the customer car.

Question about the Nurburgring 24 Hours event itself. What sanctioning body does this
event belong to? It is part of a greater series or is it a stand alone event?

Amazing seeing those huge Bentleys running near the front.

Wonder why the Viper is running in the third group with the all the little hatchbacks and classics?

 

Im 3.5 hours South of the Ring. Nice warm sunny day compared to the Ring. No shock at the cool temps at all. The Big Bentleys are very impressive indeed!

 

Car 53 the beauty Lexus LFA. Really nice.

Just got back from some errands; SGC003 up to 13th ~1:20 behind the leader, started ~20th I think.

R8 and Z4 hot on his heals.

Neat to see the SGC's suspension working over Schwedenkreuz. Definitely want some suspension travel on the Nordschleife!
