Lets see what Spa brings for Ferrari; lacking 10-12 km/h on top speed. GTE cars are so slow sometimes compared to LMP cars. They can do something with the air restrictors if the ACO/FIA wants. If nothing happens F might be overtaken at Kemmel Straight or Les Hunaudieres and Mulsanne Straight. Top speed sometimes only 250km/h!
I read the race will be partially on Velocity this year with a lot of it streaming through Motor Trend on Demand apparently. That or you can pay for it through the WEC streaming service.
Spa6hr: lack of top speed for the Ferraris Its Ford, Porsche and BMW Let’s see what the race brings tomorrow
At Le Mans they hve a different BOP than at the rest of the championship, so who knows, in the end it´s ACO who decides.

Porsche’s Pro team quickest, Ford 2nd Where are the Ferraris, BoP might be changed for the race....or not...
at Spa there was no top speed either BoP is not the way to go imho. What the best solution is I do not know.
Interesting to note Dempsey's Porsches 1st and 4th in Am too. https://assets.lemans.org/explorer/pdf/courses/2018/24-heures-du-mans/classification/test-day/test-day-24-heures-du-mans-2018-classification.pdf
International GT Open in Paul Ricard the 488 GT3 won the second race(no promlem top speed). In estoril won both races. In WEC the Ferrari and BMW complained about the auto bop. How much has 488 top speed under the le mans test? The Paul Ricard course requires 280-290km/h in the longest straight.
Or, like a couple of years ago, the ACO may take 25lbs more out of the Fords and add 25lbs more to the Ferraris (effectively a 50lb shift) overnight without any notice. Hopefully, this won't be the case again. BHW
They've had terrible luck the past few years for sure. Failures of five dollar parts, being on the pace of class leaders and then being shuffled out of the deck due to timing of safety cars, etc. If they've got the pace and they can stay ahead of the cautions, they'll do well. Let's hope so. BHW
Very, very simple. A set of rules. Choose your weapon. Develop it until you win. You're right. Someone deciding who's turn it is to win is not racing. It's just another scripted show. Plenty of those on TV.
GT Open has the most powerfull engine map for the 488 and a complete different BoP compared to the ACO BoP. My 488 GT3 in ACO Le Mans Cup specification has 100hp less than in GT Open Spec. And the GTE Cars are even more different. With boost and weight you can create a rocket or a lame duck. same car...
Like James Calado said: GTE's lack top speed. They can do 300+ at Le Mans, but BoP / restrictors needs to be changed

Sad that GTE cars have a lower speed. GT Open is a very good championship, similar to formula 1 with GT cars The tournament also comes to hungaroring, I'm gonna go see the competition. tomgt: should have 700-800 horsepower for these GTE cars lorenzobandini: Thx! looks pretty good this top speed.
