How crazy ( busy ) is this event ? I'll be in Naples during this time - is it worth the effort to head that way ? MDS
Nice to walk around and then go to Cote for lunch, we've done that a couple times. It's busy but not unbearable.
Beautiful event, happy to have been a part of it in recent years! I will say, come early if you want to see the cars and not be lost in a sea of locals and tourists.
Show was a disaster. We got there at 1130 and the line into the garage was like an hour. We took street parking 1/2 mile away on the way to the garage. It was so crowded we couldn’t see any cars; and then exiting the vicinity (from 1/2 mile away mind you) took 20 minutes. we’ve been going every year since 2018 and it’s getting more and more crowded each year. This will be the last time we go.
Unfortunately this is just Miami now. In the show’s defense there really is nothing they can do about it. There are simply too many people now in that area and getting around/parking is always a nightmare. Try traffic during Art Basel! It’s even worse!
Hopefully next year police can manage the traffic flow better ( preventing blocking the box and temporary bans on the narrow streets around the design district. as for the show itself, I don’t think there’s much they can do about that. we saw virtually no cars because crowds were so dense.
The show was a total disaster this year . There was absolutely no crowd control nor was there any protection in place for the cars on display . I have attended every year and brought out various cars but will no longer do so under these circumstances. The quality of the crowd was sub par with no respect at all for the cars . Immense disappointment
I was at the boat show but I'm hearing similar opinions from my FCA Miami friends. Those who displayed cars were especially frustrated as their precious beauties were given no protection and constantly touched. Most have said they will not bring their personal cars again. That would be a shame, if all you can see is roped off and guarded million$$ plus cars the more affordable and entry level exotics will get no attention.
We had dinner down there on Sunday, and frankly forgot this was going on. Slipped my mind completely. It was a ****show this year, lol.
Not surprised. The clientele looked like the type that wouldn't care about sacrificing the car to get *the shot*...
