Hi gang! For over two decades now, some of us here have been running in the International Fantasy Grand Prix F1 series. We're looking for a few more folks for this season -- or we're looking for a LOT more folks, and we'll set up a rookie division. The rules *look* intimidating, but it's actually pretty simple: with a budget of $50 million, pick 5 drivers, one chassis, one motor, and a sponsorship package. Fantasy points are based on real-world points, and winning generates cash for driver/chassis/motor upgrades. Regarding the sponsorship package, it's a strategy thing. Two choices: 1) play it safe, get a full year package, but have a lower amount available for drivers & components at the start of the season 2) Get a half-season and a higher amount available at the beginning of the season, but hope to have enough available at mid-season from race winnings to be able to pay again. Splitting the sponsorship costs more as well. To see how this budget works out, you can play with the calculator: https://www.ifgpf1.com/tools/qk2025.html Full rules are available from the main page: www.IFGPF1.com or directly at https://ifgpf1.com/wiki2/index.php?title=2025_Rules Teams are due by Tuesday March 11. You can reach me at ifgpf1 [at] gmail [.com] or via PM here. We play for pride and bragging rights. It's truly an international league, with folks from England, Spain, Japan, South Africa, USA, and Texas. If you're interested, please let me know. Hopefully some existing player will give some reviews on here. I'll fully admit the website needs help
Even though a week late, I have NO idea how to enter the contest, I get to pick all the stuff, and then either click on 'quickcash' or cancel, that's it. At no point does it ask me to create an account/logon/save anything.
Hiya. The calculator is just to help you pick your team. Once you know what you want, you send the team to me via email. Email address IFGPF1 [at] gmail [dot] com. I handle all the score calculations and such. We've already started but send me a team (and a team name) and you can join in. You'll be at a disadvantage, of course, but that just makes the challenge bigger. The budget is $50M, you have to pick 5 drivers (no more than 2 in any category) and a engine/chassis/sponsorship combo. We also always have a "second season" that starts at the midpoint. Drop me an email or a PM and I'll walk you through it.
I appreciate the reply but I think I will pass. I just like the games where you logon, click on who you want race-to-race, and you're done with it until the next race. I've done the e-mail games, and don't care to revisit them. We had a NASCAR one on here waaaay back when, I think I won it 9 years in a row.
