Can't see this remaining unchanged especially in the Red Bull and possibly the Aston Martin line up. Confirmed 2025 F1 line-ups Team Driver Driver Red Bull Max Verstappen Sergio Perez Ferrari Lewis Hamilton Charles Leclerc Mercedes George Russell Andrea Kimi Antonelli McLaren Lando Norris Oscar Piastri Aston Martin Fernando Alonso Lance Stroll Alpine Pierre Gasly Jack Doohan Williams Alex Albon Carlos Sainz RB Yuki Tsunoda TBC Stake F1 Nico Hulkenberg Gabriel Bortoleto Haas Oliver Bearman Esteban Ocon
RedBull is working on Colapinto to replace Perez......so.the rumors say. Whatta mind game for Colapinto IF true!!
Quite likely but nothing is impossible in F1. I don't think you can entirely rule out Alonso taking an early retirement either.
Fernando will try to hang on for some of the hoped for Newey magic. The clock is ticking. If Lance starts to outperform him he will call it a day.
I don't know if Stroll has it in him to beat Alonso on a regular basis, but Alonso doesn't take too kindly to being beaten by his team mate, he and Hamilton at McLaren for example.
These ground effect cars seem to be taking a toll on his 43 year old body. I admire his skill and tenacity.
An expression in the Netherlands says "that will be the day that Easter and Pentecost fall on the same date"
These chassis are hard on everyone and the older you are the worse it is. I think LH is suffering as well. Seems every grain of sand is felt with the cars running so stiff to aid in downforce/performance.
As mentioned in another thread, it is rumoured that Colapinto may take the seat from Jack Doohan at Alpine.
Colapinto's first few F1 races have been very impressive, but giving him a seat in one of the top teams with the fastest driver as a teammate is potentially disastrous. I could see Lawson to RBR and Colapinto to Alpha Tauri(or whatever it's called now). A move to Alpine would be a ticket to nowhere.
