I really like the design of the Vanquish but will not buy one new although its tempting to spec my own.
What about this one? 2011 V12V 6MT. One of about 15 in the US in white. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Sell it and get a Ferrari, it has extra plastic vents for the v12 from a db9 that they shoved into a vantage body. It’s all just silly. They lack creativity and the ability to make something truly unique
The Ferrari will hold or even increase its value for a year or two before it starts its depreciation just like all regular production cars Ferrari has made the last couple of decades. I don’t buy it’s an 812C in different clothing- too heavy for that. The Vanquish will depreciate from the get go but the degree will depend on how well it drives. If it’s good driver and production numbers are kept low who knows? Unfortunately it’s a porker just like the 12C. This forces Bentley to make its GT even heavier to not be outdone. LOL. I miss the days when a sports car over 3200 pounds was considered too heavy… Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
You wouldn’t be saying that if you ever drove one, just ask Jeremy Clarkson. I would agree if it was an auto but not the manual. And I did decide between my Cali T HS and the V12V Manual, never hesitated to keep the Aston. There is no comparable modern V12 Ferrari manual in that price range. I do have a 2009 599 GTB F1 on the way but the V12V Manual isn’t going anywhere! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I’m not sure I agree with the 12C value edging up before settling back down. The 12C is extremely pricey and the 812 is fantastic. I guess it comes down to supply, as always, but there are real forces at play here that will likely hold the 12C value down including massive MSRP, small power delta, dubious exhaust quality, haptics, screens, macro economic factors, etc. Of course, the eventual depreciation will be massive, much like every other 12 cyl that proceeded it.
Massive msrp won’t hold it down, in fact the higher the msrp the less likely the buyer is willing to sell and more financially stable they have to be to afford it
Maybe…but my core assertion was that the 12C will not provide any material upside in the early years of ownership. I simply cannot see many who would be willing to a meaningful premium to have the car a year earlier.
296 sells for a premium and is a v6 twin turbo hybrid. No one wants that. The 12c will sell for a massive premium. The last v12. People know If they hold it forever it will be valuable.
From what I understand and was told it looks like maybe no more than one thousand units to US in 2 years of production. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It did, but no longer does right? Plus, the MSRP delta between the two is massive. I personally don’t think the 12C will be last of the V12. That drum was beat with the 812. Ferrari will find a way. The money is too easy. But you might be right. After all, the Revuelto is enjoying a pretty significant premium in the early days. You can nearly buy two nice SF90’s for the price of one Revuelto. I did not see that coming.
If you were right theyd still make manuals cuase the money is easy right ? Ferrari has more integrity than other car brands, they haven’t done that. This is the last v12 from Ferrari. Hence the name “dodici cilindri” for you guys that can’t read Italian that means twelve cylinders
Dodici cilindri is the last v12, same way how 550 maranello is last v12 manual. And 458 is last na v8. It’s the last
Always comes with qualifiers. The last regular production V12, the last non-assisted V12, the last NA V12, the last V12 non-SP, etc, etc.. Same as you can't get any more power out of that V12! (except that was said with the Enzo @ 6xx hp and every one since). Ferrari knows how to make engines and they are on the books saying they will continue to make a V12 if at all possible. For instance, if they make an all electric and it bombs watch how fast a new V12 comes out to regain the dream.
The last of… I wish I had a buck for each time I’ve heard that… and then the new model, surprise! Arrives Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
You’re a silly guy. Tell me why people still care about da Vinci ? Or the palace of versaille or any other old object or watch ? The best things man created has already happened. Anything from the future will be cheap and created all in the pursuit of profit
If you don't understand the difference between a machine, which is supposed to be good at what at does, in this case driving, and a painting, we are all wasting our time with you...
Totally wrong. First and foremost is the engine, the performance and the way it drives. That was Enzo's vision all along. Hell, he didn't even bother designing the body; he outsourced that to Pininfarina. All he cared about was his V12 and how the car went down the road! Nowadays, they have to design the body in house, due to aero and packaging concerns.
