Hi all. I purchased my F8 brand new last year in June. I have consistently kept it on the battery tender. Have taken it for a few weekend drives but is not my daily driver. It’s never sat for more than 2 months. I went to start yesterday (last start was in January) and unfortunately it was completely dead. Have others experienced issue with a dead battery while on tender. I disconnected the tender and reconnected and it’s blinking red. Is this something easy to change myself or does it require me working with the dealer?

    Is it the Ferrari tender?

Replace the Fiamm battery with an Interstate.

ok i heard those are really bad. I don't have a F8 but I imagine its the same scenario. I would get a ctek or whatnot and that should bring the battery back to life if not you can remove it and have NAPA charge it for you.

Not much of a search on the forum and you’ll see that new or used, you should install a new battery and always keep it on a CTEK upon taking delivery.

I don’t know what a CTEK is but the serial number or model number on my Ferrari factory charger for my 2021 F8 starts with the letters CTEK… so.. and it’s original battery and it’s rarely plugged in…. I think I plugged it in for one or two days before, maybe twice

interesting…I always keep my car on the battery maintainer.

Supposedly this is the battery tender that I hear is better than the one that come with 488-F8. I just always used the Ferrari branded CTEK charger…the big black box one. Not sure what the real difference is to make this CTEK better though….

Not sure about our Ferrari maintainers but I know that with some other ones I own, if there is a power bump or loss of power all together, my other chargers won't restart themselves but need to be reset. I know we give the Ferrari maintainers a bad rap, but this could be part of the problems we have. I know after I see the lights flicker in the house (when I am there) I run out to the garage to check the cars out and reset the maintainers if needed.
    Just a thought....
