    Curb weight measurement
    - Full fuel tank
    - Frunk empty
    - Passenger compartment empty
    - Options that effect weight:
    - Race seats
    - Front end lift and AFS
    - Forged alloy wheels
    - Premium audio system
    - Full PPF

Result - the car weighed in at exactly 3,450 pounds on a certified scale, which is much greater than I had anticipated. I believe Ferrari claims the curb weight to be about 300 pounds less.

    C’est les vie!

They do … Ferrari claims 3164…Brooks on his Dragtimes YouTube channel weighed his F8 and said the same…3453 on race scales…about 300lbs more than claimed weight. Even with an empty tank it would only be around 134lbs less.

Not bad. Basically the same as a gt3rs, or within 100lbs? I don’t suppose anyone has weighed a 296 yet?

Ferrari as far as i recall quotes dry weight…no fluids…typically people ball park a 200lbs delta…there could be other light weight options they include that are not being considered like carbon wheels (does f8 even have that option)? Not to mention this car has lift which will add weight.

Thanks for the confirmation. I think that should start getting us closer towards the 300lbs difference once the no front end lift, carbon wheels and no fluids are considered.

Ferrari uses the best case possible, the most optimistic weights and performance numbers they can. Others are much more conservative which explains the performance differences. i.e. McLaren, Porsche, Lambo. I dont believe Ferrari cares about being the ultimate performance car but rather the best luxury performance car. They are just good enough but never the best. The total package is what they strive for and in many cases fall short. The die hards "feel" otherwise but the numbers tell the story. At the end of the day many of us buy whatever they put out so it doesn't matter. Yes, I am guilty of contributing to their success but I also own and have other marques on order. It really depends on what you want and there is no wrong answer.

Me too.......I wish you were closer, I'm dying to weigh the STO. Lambo would never lie (lol).

I take it for granted the F8 weighs that much. By way of comparison, the 458 'feels' light on its feet on a track, its not an issue.

But with these cars, I believe there is a weight threshold, and the new Z06 (at 4000 lbs.) is going to be on the north side of it.
