Cmon Bottas ffs
Did anyone notice that Lewis actually stopped before the wall and then accelerated into it? A double stupid mistake.....but the second bit of it was absurdly stupid.
Hamilton down a lap then gets it back because of a red flag. I just don’t get that. Image Unavailable, Please Login
What an amazing coincidence that Bottas hitting Russell (ON THE VERY NEXT LAP) created a red flag that allowed Lewis to unlap himself. Lewis is either the luckiest driver in F1, or Toto is the fastest thinking team manager.
Definitely the luckiest driver in F1,, and I reckon it all started when he just made up that one place on the last turn of the last lap to take the Championship off Massa.. Seriously, If He fell into a sewer, He'd come up holding a gold watch in each hand..
Or maybe Toto told Bottas not to let the Williams by? Both drivers contracted to Merc, so won't say anything.
Yeah. The whole “unlap” thing is very questionable. It’s interesting - we were watching it live and Chloe got really pissed off about the fact that those whom had been lapped were able to unlap themselves during the red flag for no apparent reason. I said it’s no big deal and it won’t matter much... She went to bed. In the morning she asked what the result was. I said: Max won, wanker second. Then I thought about it. Hmmm. Why are they able to unlap themselves? Why should someone go from an entire lap from the lead to 10 seconds from the lead? Makes no sense.
Yeah I went from cheering when Lewis went off, to laughing when he engaged first and drove into the wall, then disbelief when the crash happened literally seconds later. Leclerc was set for second place I reckon. Lewis is the luckiest driver I’ve ever seen, ever!!
Not much has been said about him driving into the wall after having successfully avoiding it. I was starting to wonder if I was the only person who noticed. Certainly none of the Lewis lovers mention it.....including the commentators
The commentators miss a fair bit, Lewis was screwed prior to the crash, it took him an age to get out of that trap. If I recall Perez had ****ed up and Norris was 20 or so seconds behind Leclerc who was in second place. The race for me was a let down after the restart. The only thing that was obvious was the Pace of that Mercedes!!
Yes, he works hard at acting diplomatic and being oh-so-correct for the cameras, but there's a mean spirit underneath.
