    A third year at Williams with an underperforming car will be a hard pill to swallow for Russell, but where would he go?
    Let's hope that staying under the Mercedes umbrella will bring him some rewards one day.

    Looks like Kvyat is out and Albon's seat might go to somebody else (Perez or Hulk). Fine by me.

    Kvyat already had a sabatical a couple of years ago, so a second come back is unlikely, IMO.
    It may be different for Albon with Red Bull Thai connection.

    Kvyat is a hard driver...not afraid to push the car to its limits and use his shoulders to get ahead. He'd be better than either Alfa driver, and he would be better than either the ex-Haas boys. I'd like to see him back next season.

    Joe Saward has been on many Grands Prix as a renowned motorsport journalist, so if he spots anything strange in the F1 paddock, it's something to pay attention to. This was the case at the Imola circuit last weekend. He saw that Greg Maffei, the big boss of Liberty Media, was present for the second time in a row at a Grand Prix.



    "The presence of Greg Maffei, the boss of Liberty Media at both of the recent races was bizarre," Saward said in his blog. "Maffei is not a racing fan and has come to very few races in the last three years. I'm told he's a basketball nut (although I cannot verify it) but his primary interest is making money."

    The fact that he has attended two Grand Prixs in a row for no apparent reason is therefore unusual in Saward's opinion. All the important Formula 1 decisions have been taken recently and Chase Carey normally handles them. Saward therefore came to the conclusion that his presence has to do with a possible sale of Formula 1.

    I see what you did there. Not falling into that trap. :)

    I have zero skill but enjoyed the three different F1 I had a chance to drive (plus the Indycars and the NASCAR). Not that I ever had any illusions, just wanted to see what it feels like.

    According to Jean Alesi his son Giuliano Alesi has been 'fired' from the Ferrari Driver Academy. They also have 'no sponsors for 2021', he told Swiss newspaper Blick.

    Ok, ready to take it. But compared to other types of racing available, I think F1 has become a parade. Someone please change my mind, but even the announcers are SEARCHING for anything to say to keep the race interesting..including 20 minutes of camera time for that all out battle for 14th place....
