There was a bunch of stuff at PIR today-- they did the Taste of Motorsports event, and most of the dealers were out there, along with plenty of other people.
I think the owner of a Chevy dealer East of happy valley has a yellow I’ve seen in the shop a few times. Beautiful car.
Is the World of Speed Motorsports Museum closed for good or is it just temporary? I thought I heard they did a little show there like a C&C, maybe just a rumor. Edit: just read of the perm closure I am bringing the Abarth up there (McMinnville/Sherwood) soon, any good roads for a swb car? Also I remember a car dealer in Newburg that had some old race cars, one ran La Carrera (an old Stude), anybody know if they relocated?
So I don't know if there is any replacement location for cars & coffee, probably won't know until next year. The loss of World of Speed was unfortunate, but what can you do? I don't know about the dealer in Newberg that you mention. There is a significant car collection in Newberg, although the owner died and much of it is being (or has been) liquidated. There are tons of great driving roads around, though! That's the good news.
Did they already shut the meet down out by Tualatin? I know the Camas meet was cool about a month back.
I think the Tualatin one you are thinking of is the one at World of Speed, and as far as I know, that went away when the museum closed.
No there was a new one I went to I thought it was at a sporting good store not south on the 5 but west into Tualatin.
It looks like they moved to Sherwood: Langer Entertainment Center 21650 SW Langer Farm Parkway, Sherwood OR However, I don't know if it's actually happening due to Covid or not.
Saw a nice 488 spider pulling into Starbucks a few hours as I was pulling out of Pizza Hut on Sunnyside.
Officially closed down. But, I understand it is possible to get a cup of coffee and snack around 8 AM on Saturdays.
I could generally use a cup of coffee and a snack at 8AM on Saturday. It’s kind of my “cup of coffee and a snack time”, really.
I'll be back up in Mcminville and Sherwood from the 18th to Dec if anything is going on worth seeing, lmk.
There are some amazing cars which live in that area! Although, the odds of encountering one of them during December is unlikely at best.
If the weather is good, I’m always looking for an excuse to stretch some legs. If the fates align, I may have my GT2RS then...
I saw a beautiful white Porsche 914-6 driving along on 26 this afternoon. I thought there was something about it, and as I passed him I saw the "914-6" badge on the back. Really cool.
Got to my parents' farm in Mckminnville late Friday, going to go cruise around. Anybody know about the 430 for sale here in Mac?
No, but that is a beautiful area, and there is plenty of money around there. I'm sure there are more than a few Ferraris in the area. Have some good wine while you are there!
Nero 488 with yellow brake calipers headed East on NE 28th St (NE Vancouver) this afternoon. A couple hours later, a Rosso Rubino F430 also headed East on NE 28th (me). A few days ago, a Rosso 488 with gold anodized wheels in West Camas.
