https://www.instagram.com/p/B9pmRgYJArs/ Report from curfew - only 6 teams showed up and entered paddock. No McLaren of course but Ferrari, Mercedes and Renault absent. So we have at least 2 drivers (Seb & Kimi) having already flown home, the teams preparing to pack up their equipment - but the organisers saying everything going on as normal.

Fia spokesman. “For us to cancel it on our own would require less than 12 cars to be available. But other than that or from the local authourities the FIA cannot cancel because there are too many commercial agreements that in cancelling the liability would come back to us”

https://www.instagram.com/p/B9po17FhPd3/ https://www.instagram.com/p/B9pZhYZovZB/ News services everywhere are claiming the Australian GP will be cancelled this morning following the positive test for coronavirus by one of the McLaren crew. Local radio is reporting that Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel left Melbourne on an Emirates flight at 6 am this morning although this cannot be confirmed. ⠀ 8.15am. Ross Brawn has arrived but declined to talk to TV reporters. Talk here is that the government and the F1 are debating over who takes responsibility for calling it off which will affect who has liability. ⠀Support races are going ahead, spectators are still entering and Marshals and volunteers are in place. 9:10 am update: only 5 teams have arrived into the paddock, Haas, Alfa, Alpha, Williams and Racing Point. McLaren crew have been confined to 14 days quarantine in their hotel in individual rooms. More later this morning our time. ⠀ That said though, my F1 long table dinner will be still e proceeding tomorrow night and we'll have plenty to talk about!
