From posts in other threads it seems like 3 UK based Fchatters are planning to do MM '19. If anybody else is planning to go let us know.
Great.A long way off but let's all use this thread to stay in contact. If memory serves me right you were in a black Speciale with red stripes last year ? I was in RC UK Speciale with no stripe. Plan is to use 812 in '19 if delivered in time.It will be my 3rd running too. It seems to be becoming a bit less popular but I cannot understand why (unless people are afraid of putting miles on) as I think it is the best thing ever and would encourage anyone with a Ferrari to try it.I drive down and back from London.
Just my own feeling. I did it first in 2012 and 150 Ferraris took part. Also quite a lot more entries than places as I understood it then. I think now about 100 to 120 cars and if you apply you get a starting place. It is such a brilliant event it deserves to be oversubscribed !
You are right. By that measure it is less popular than back in 2012. At best we had 90 cars last year. When you look at all the 4 day rallies out there, the Mille even for the new car entries is one of the toughest.
I'm hopefully planning to go too- it would be my first time although I did drive across and through Italy as part of the Ferrari 70th rally last autumn.... always wanted to do the Mm route so tribute with like minded F chatters seems a great possibility !
Yes, great idea. Any help with the prep nearer the time from those who have done it before, gratefully received. I looked at the details for this year and you need medical and race certificates etc.
It is advisable to do as much of the paperwork as possible in UK.Letter of good health from GP is easy.Everything can normally be done in Brescia but at a cost !
What did you run the FT MM with the first 2 times? I’m running my F12B this year as my 812 will not be ready
458 Special both times. Next year I'd love to run the Lusso but will probably either run the 458 Speciale again or the Pista if it's ready.
To elaborate on this, each year, I created a binder full of info and documents. Each year it was at least an inch thick. Lots of stuff to do for this. Not the usual casual rally.
I contemplated running my GTC4L because she is still under warranty. However I felt for 1st time I might as well run the F12 as she’s been sitting since end-Oct ‘17
