I had the GT. What is the difference between the GT and the GTR as far as the mechanicals?

I once owned a 2018 AMG GTS, that sold for this GT-R. Both are fantastic cars. Under-appreciated by many enthusiasts. To me, the AMG GTS is a wonderful grand tourer, while the GT-R is more sports car-like/angrier.

From my experience, while also once owning a newer Porsche GTS and a Porsche GT3, I’d compare the AMG GTS to the Porsche GTS and the GT-R to the Porsche GT3 or GT3 Touring.

The GT-R’s suspension features adjustable coilovers and adaptive dampers, with a thicker rear anti-roll bar than the GT. It also uses ‘uni-ball’ mountings instead of traditional bushings for improved handling precision and control feedback. Forged aluminum is used in the wishbones, hub carriers, and steering knuckles to reduce unsprung mass. Additionally, carbon fiber is employed in the roof panel, underbody, and bonnet to reinforce the structure, along with the car’s torque tube prop shaft. Some components are made of titanium too.

The engine produces ~ 70 more horsepower, with upgraded factory turbos. Suspect software for drivetrain too.
The car’s overall weight is reduced thanks to the carbon fiber (CF) roof, CF front fenders, and other components. The exhaust is different too, offering louder sounds with pops and gurgles.

A couple of links for more info.

    Hope this helps.

Yeah, it's pretty hardcore, but not like a GT3RS. My experience with the RS, it is a pure track car, and after 30 minutes of driving on the street, I get beat up bc of the ride.

My take, the GT-R is more like a GT3 Touring. The GT-R seats are comfortable and the ride can be adjusted to some softness - that even my wife accepts. Ironically, she was never comfortable in a 991 TTS, nor the GT3, that I sold, no. Of course, it is all objective, in a good way.

Beautifull car and beautiful pics but you don't have any sideview pics. And always remember the rule of 3rds.

Let’s talk, or PM, if interested.

Just received new car delivery yesterday, so now more inclined to sell. It’s absolutely a wonderful GT-R. Needs nothing.

    More pix.

I had my 2019 GTc Roadster for 4 years since new and put 7400 miles and I never 'flogged' it either... never did a launch or put pedal to the floor once. It was definitely pampered and flawless... so I'm sure his is what he says.-- I can't be the only P*ssy :)

Thanks. These 2018/19 GT-Rs are so unknown to many.

Such fab cars. Dare I say; enjoyed more when compared to various 911s, I owned.

Happy sold to an awesome new owner. He has a big smile on his face.
