May as well isolate the 500, no? 'Like the looks of this one at the moment. (Indianapolis, hour by hour) https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/...napolis/hourly Rain stopping at 8-9 a.m.; time to dry the track; hopefully a few hours to get the race in before the rain again. The site's been pretty good to me....we'll see. And, of course (dang it), things change.....'specially the weather. Image Unavailable, Please Login How's that song go? "it don't rain in Indianapolis in the summer time...." Yeah....right. Image Unavailable, Please Login And hey, if they can't get the whole thing in Sunday, 'long as they stop it 'afore half way, it would give teams going backwards due to handling a longer time to think about what quick changes they might make during a stop. The forecast is a bit better for Monday, so they should get the race done before the end of the holiday weekend.
Bummer Alonso is not racing. But given the woeful state of his team he probably wouldn't have gotten that far. Oh well. Hopefully it will be a good race. Is this really THE Indy 500 thread? Where is everybody? -F
Does it look like they'll get the race in today? I'm watching pre-race and it seems like it's a go. And "everybody" was watching Monaco.
I've been checking out the radar, and it doesn't look good long term. Those storms to the west are moving east and might even build up. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think we're looking at either a race to halfway, or a really disjointed race with the potential for several rain delays.
You gota have "Back home in Indiana!" Here we go... Houston guys Brick House on 290 gave me biggest screen. And a cold beer... She will even make us a sandwich!!!
Well I have a Life Celebration at 4PM, so here's to a clean race! RIP Artie Villasenor, one of our Houston East Side greats, of the blues, and jazz scene...Last Concert Café will be packed.
DNF mechanical issues suck. I think he has a good skill set, might take a year or two to get the experience he needs.
