I love everything about this car except for the V8.... but if the price keeps dropping ya' never know...glws
Try it, you might be surprised. The RWD T is extremely sporty and agile compared to the 12. Think of it as a different type of car, a 488 hatchback if you like
I get that it is sporty and agile, but at over 2 tons I think the V12 is better suited to push this load forward.... and the torque of the V12 is another big plus... just sayin'
I was actually trying to find the weight difference between the V8 and V12.... do you have that info, maybe it is considerably lighter and your point would be well taken...glws
From Car and Driver: Even though it means we’re missing out on the throaty 6.3-liter V-12 engine, we’d pick the cheaper and slightly less powerful GTC4Lusso T over the $40,000 more expensive GT4CLusso. Both cars are great to drive, like all Ferraris, and the company claims the T is virtually as quick to 60 mph. The twin-turbocharged V-8 is down 78 horsepower to the V-12, but has more torque available at lower engine speeds. While the engines and drivetrains differ between the two, both have the same features and options and are equally well equipped and comfortable. The Lusso T also gets much better fuel economy, with an EPA combined rating of 17 mpg to the Lusso’s 13 mpg combined rating. This means you’ll spend less time at the pump and more time in the driver’s seat of a great grand tourer. Also the GTC4 Lusso T with the V8 weighs 120lbs less that the V12.
thanks for the education.... the V8 with more torque at low speeds is impressive...better gas mileage even more impressive...!!! The original shooting brake FF and the Lusso's are controversial, to some, but beautiful and fierce imho. I have really grown to love all Ferrari's in Bianco Avus... this color covers all the bases from sporty to elegant... which the car you are offering offers to the T. Good Luck
No shortage of torque in the Ferrari V8, It is huge and in fact it is deliberately dialled down by the software to give a less turbo charged feel. Each to their own, and both are great cars. To me the T is simpler and more fun. Plus there are no potential PTU problems on the horizon.
