The ride is great (especially in the "bumpy road" setting), but the car sits quite low so that could be a problem getting in and out. I would recommend the full electric seats which would give you the greatest amount of adjustability. If you're having back issues, Race Seats are a no-no!

Great daily, if you can tolerate the attention and don’t mind washing it regularly. Back issues might come into play as entering and exiting the 488 is like getting down/up off the floor.

Get something else for a DD. Cali T HS would be a good choice or if you want to wait a year, Portofino. I think anyone with back issues would find them exacerbated by getting in and out of the car much. The full electric Daytona seats are comfortable once you have gotten yourself in the car though.

Agree with this, although full elec seats in 488 are soft.
My race seats are a back breaker!

Correct me if im wrong but with the full electric seats you have 3 settings which one could also be return seat all the way back, tilt the seat back and move the steering column up. Making for an easier entry and exit

Get a Lusso for a daily although you can drive a 488 a ton without getting tired.

If you have a bad back and are looking to daily drive it, why not give the Portofino a try?

I have the full electric seats, they are comfy but after a few hours of driving you will feel your back ! getting in and out is not the easiest. An F12, 812 or lusso might be more suitable for a daily driver and easy entry exit..

Honestly, the Lusso is an incredible car. I had a 100 mile late night drive last night from a black tie party in Cardiff to Birmingham. Took the backroads through the Cotswolds with no one around - felt a bit like Bond but looked nothing like him! What. A. Magnificent. Car.

Sounds like an suv is the better go if you have back issues.
488 requires a little effort getting in and out as others here say but that effort will vary depending upon your physical state, size, weight etc.
Insofar as the seats go neither type have any real cushioning where you need it so again it comes down to which seat type best suits your physical profile. I found the electrics quite uncomfortable after not much time driving round town at all . They just offered so little support laterally on the swab and backrest and the swab so undercushioned. Compared to my turbo s they were terrible tbh - shocking. Always liked the thought of retaining electric seats in a car like this but it wasnt to be after finding the race buckets a much better solution even though i would have never thought so on first sit. Never looked back since. Even my wife finds them comfortable which surprised me - says she prefers them over the tts - go figure lol. She is small though.I’ve spent days in the race seats without problem - 7 hour hauls 550km each way runs - with a few short stops for fuel etc. The electrics otoh would have killed me for sure. So try and give both a good go before picking your poison.

The electrical seats are terrible, when you are a big man! I would prefer a Porsche 991 as a daily driver.

It's the drop down to the seat that is the issue and the leverage needed to get out, the seats are very low. If you don't have decent core strength the seats will be a challenge and even then, they aren't easy.

I think the Porsche seats aren't any different in terms of ease of getting in or out of. I drove a 991tts for three years and I see the two cars very similar as far as ingress and egress.

The seats in my RR and Maserati are far more cushioned and easy to get in and out of but those cars are not near as fun to drive or look at.

In and out was not the problem, the problem was, that I was sitting in the electrical seats like in an Indian local bus, and I just have 1,83 meters

Yes, there is a loss of leg room. Even though the Porsche was tough to get into, I could stretch my legs out but not in the 488. I am 1.9m tall.

Agree with Cortez - I found with the electric seats you sit on top of them rather than into them like the buckets or 991tts seats. So yes I would agree with wrs in that sense where he found the tts seats a bit harder to get in and out of than the electrics, but that is purely because there is no side bolstering on the 488 electrics to shift your butt over.

But comparing the 488 buckets and tts seats i found they both require a similar effort which is again more than what is required getting in and out of a 488 with the electrics. I would say the 488 buckets are actually slightly harder to get in and out of the the tts seats even for a few reasons. One being a bit more bolstering on 488 buckets and the other being 488 buckets don't auto shift back to allow more exit room like tts.

And, as Cortez says the electrics are indeed a bit like sitting on a bus seat because the lack of cushion and bolstering will leave you wallowing around in them if you push the car in any way and this is where it loads up the lower back because the muscles are left to counter the lateral forces instead of the seat bolstering doing that work.

Also the 488 electrics rob headroom a bit more than the buckets so you have to lay the seat back more and move the seat further forward to counter sitting further away from the steering wheel. With the buckets you don't get that problem so you can adjust the backrest and swab to the correct position.

I have the Daytona electric seats which I find comfortable with the alcantara straps that hold my arse in the seat as not to slide around. Easy enter and exit too. Best , Kirk.

Very good point. I have much more headroom with the Goldrake racing seats in the 488 and F12 than I do with the full electric units in the FF.

Maybe nobody choose them ;) but I have the regular seats without any electrical equipment (also saves weight...) and they are pretty low.
