Apologies is there is a value thread I missed - still new to the F car space and fchat.

I’m looking at acquiring an f12 / 812 - have been for about a year now but got side tracked buying a 991 speedster (which I love) but still want to scratch the f12 / 812 itch. I found one at a dealer with pretty high miles (around 30k) that’s a 2018 with about $401k msrp. I think I can get it for around $310k but I’m new to this space and still not confident if that’s a decent deal or not given the high mileage (I know the p car space much much better - this would be my first f car).

Appreciate any thoughts / opinions / advice. Thanks in advance!

Its not a decent deal at all. They are around 20-25% off msrp for about 1/3 of the miles. That car is worth 40% off in trade right most likely (as in if you were to buy it and drive it around the block and sell it). Thats dealers cost, so if I were looking to buy that car, I’d go for 35% off msrp. I’d wait 2-3 months more until F167 unveil. There is already a decent supply of them coming available to the market recently. I think I am getting an alert of an 812 available from auto trader every other day or every few days.

Not a horrendous deal, remember you are getting though a Ferrari dealer and I am certain they are giving you two more years of factory warranty which is about 20k. Personally I would only buy a vehicle like this through a Ferrari dealer. I don’t think the values will be affected as much as the above poster thinks because of the F167. It’s still a couple of years out before you realistically get one in hand. Just look at the F12 values. They are still holding quite strong. If you want a Ferrari V12 you will have to dish out the money

You might be right and I may be wrong. There used to be roughly 35 cars for sale in summer, that number was 60 or so in November and now it has breached 90. There are only so many V12 buyers out there who will be impatient. Its basic supply and demand. No one knows 100% what the markets will do.

As for extended warranty (CPO), if at the time of purchase a Ferrari dealer does it, cost is $6500 for 2 years. Its not $20k. Its $15k if you purchase 4/5 extension but I think this car is not eligible for that.

Thanks both - much appreciated! This spec is definitely want I want but I’m in no rush. Maybe I’ll wait it out a bit longer.

    you are wrong as usual.
    It’s not $6500 for 2 years.
They are different options through an official Ferrari dealer.
And not one costs only $6500 for 2 years.
Also, it’s dependent on model. With the V12s being the most expensive.
The most comprehensive warranty extension of original is only possible at purchase when new.

Absolutely agree with you again! Find me a V12 warranty for 2 years at 6500. No way. All good, he is waiting for the 812SF to be worth 20 cents on the dollar and then he will purchase one. In the meantime, he will come around and bash and smash the 812, even though he dreams incessantly of it every moment.

Hard to tell from just the details you posted. Anything over 5K miles is always considered a lot for some reason in the F car world. But, these cars are stout and driving them makes them better.

    Price is always spec/mileage/condition dependent.

Can you post link or pm. I do think you have negotiating power because of the miles. But,
you know it has been serviced regularly.
