They've had statement series' against the teams they needed to beat, with the exception of Washington. They swept the Cubs, the Rockies and the D'Backs when it mattered.

    DODGERS BABY! All the way.

Another come from behind win when all seemed lost to grab the best record in baseball

You gotta feel sorry for Colorado. They have 51 wins and are NINE games behind!

Dodgers and Astros are both having epic seasons. Astros pitching needs to get healthy. Definitely excited for the 2nd half of the season. I wish they had a regular season series, I think it would definitely add to the hype for a potential World Series match up.

Totally agree, and why is Houston in the AL West anyway?

Thank Bud Selig for that. With interleague play, they needed even # of teams in each league. So, they changed from 15-15 to 14-16, which is better than adding teams to even up.

As to the west, I suspect they thought the Houston - Rangers rivalry would add some pizzazz. Also, minimize inter division travel to some extent.

Were they in the NL Central or was it just East and West before the WC?

Central and then West before that (1969 was first divisional year IIRC) and then just plain old NL from 1962 to 1968.

Good luck with that! My brother in law is from Boston, and I'm a Yankees fan...plenty of fun conversations there, especially since the Yanks have 27 titles. :)

    By the way...Aaron Judge...just sayin'. :D

The MLB executive action was not fair.

Milwaukee should have been returned to the A.L. - not force Houston to move to the A.L.

The Brewers moved from the A.L. to the N.L.

A.L. baseball is completely different from the N.L.

I agree. I think Selig, who owned the Brewers, of course, made the move to benefit his own team's

LOL. Judge is starting great, but so did Gooden and Strawberry, and we know how they ended up. Let's hope he can avoid the same pitfalls that befell them.

I do not believe his production can be sustained.

    BABIP - .426

Speed and line drives favors a high BABIP.

I checked the stats of three studs this season.

    Trout, Goldschmidt, and Ryan Zimmerman.

The BABIP for the three was around .350/.359

.426 BABIP, is not sustainable. It is a lot of luck granted by the baseball g/d.

    His power is real.

His batting average will come down.

Another miracle comeback by the Dodgers over Miami yesterday.

Two outs nobody on top of the 9th down by one run. Base hit then a walk. Puig has 2 strikes on him and hits a 500 ft homer.

    Dodgers win 6-4.

    The magic continues!

Today have the best 50-game run by a big league team since the 1912 New York Giants compiled the same mark from May 14 to July 3.

Los Angeles has won all but one of its last 13 games, upping the top record in the majors to an astounding 78-32. That puts the Dodgers at 46 games above .500 for the first time since they were 98-51 on Sept. 15, 1962.

    Judge is human.
He is not a .330 power hitter.
