Ed, I did get the TR home without incident. In fact it was the best the car has run in many years. The work that IFS did was excellent. Cost me a few bucks but it was well worth it. The engine bay looks and runs like new. All new hardware, clamps, all reused parts cleaned and new hoses, which added to the way it ran, made feel like a new car. The mechanics agreed it is probably the best condition TR they've worked on. One of them commented that it now "goes like stink, in a good way". They also washed and waxed it, treated the leather, cleaned the carpets etc. The experience reminds me of some of the car restoration shows on TV. I do plan on being at the breakfast on Sunday, 8AM, and if the roads are clean and dry, I'll bring it. If not, give me a call and stop in to see it on your way to or from work some day. Hope everyone has a Happy New Year.............. Phil
I'm going to take a recon run to see how the roads are. My driveway has a skin of ice so I'm not optimistic about taking the TR. I'll plan on being at Pickle works closer to 8:30.
