I'll be there
Great get together last night at Bricco's. Although we didn't convince Gary to move back to cold country. Lots of good discussion on cars, insurance, solar, waitresses, etc., and we didn't talk any politics. We should try to do this every quarter or six months;
Looks like the consensus is to stay home and dry. Time to crank up the wood stove, sit back and relax.
So instead of coming to Glastonbury today, Ethan and I decided to tackle the sticky window switches and surrounds. It took us about three hours to pull the center dash apart to get the switches out, get them cleaned up, and reassembled. The majority of the time was spent scrubbing them with Greased Lightening on a Griots Garage scrubber pad, a soft toothbrush, and tons of mechanics blue paper towels. It was a lot of work, but the look perfect and no more sticky. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice job, Joe. I've got to tackle the many sticky bits in my 355. Perhaps I'll finally have time this winter while she's stored away. Looks like I'll have hours and hours of work scrubbing which will keep me from hanging around the street corner and getting myself into trouble. - Ed -
January 1st is a Sunday this year. Would anyone like to continue our New Year's Day breakfast tradition? This year we can follow breakfast with a drive to Glastonbury.
Gary, you asked me to post a picture of the Charger Hellcat once it arrived. Well she came in yesterday. The 3M clear bra needs to go on then it will become the primary daily driver. The name is appropriate... it is a beast. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Joe: Needs lightbar and a couple of antennas sprouting from the back for full effect. Happy holidays guys. I'll try to make the Jan 1st thing. Been busy with barn/garage and developing some new business. Saw this at a charity shop in Manchester yesterday... might look good next to the big Snap-On rollaround... Joe thanks for the picture. I hope everyone has a great holiday. Thanks to all of those that made it to dinner. It was nice to see everyone.
Any more interest in the Pickle Works breakfast run on 1/1/17? Not sure about the weather forecast so it may have to be DDs. On my way to IFS today to pick up the TR. Dropped it off in late July and it's finally ready. Should look and run like a new TR. It started out to be a cosmetic makeover, but soon turned into a major with all the bells and whistles. All belts, hoses, rebuild EFI units, new O2 sensors, water pump, new injectors, cleaned entire engine bay, strip blast and painted red crinkle on the heads, grey crinkle on the intake manifolds, silver on the block, new plugs and wires, polish shafts and new camshaft seals, shift shaft seals, etc. etc. etc. If the weather holds out I'll bring it to the breakfast.
How about 8:00? That would give us an hour for breakfast and a 30 mintute drive to Gbury to arrive there about 9:30.
Don't think I will be able to make it. I will be getting in late from Ft Lauderdale the night before.
