Hulkenberg wil be out. So much for the excitement... He knows he's out so now we have 2+ minutes of no driving. As I said. Dumb ****ing system

Lol disaster for the new format. I would assume/hope this will be changed for next race.

Current format at Spa or Singapore would be insanely boring, drivers would only get two laps at the most before being unable to defend their time.

I could see maybe q1 being better using this format while allowed to finish a lap. Q2 and absolutely Q3 need to be allowed full time.

 

I gotta say...this format is horrible. No cars on the track. Everyone just jumping out and giving up.

 

Hmmm qualy should not end quietly like this.....oh well. They made a change.

seems qualifying will end ninety seconds before time runs out
no sense in running once the grid is set
so everybody runs early then sits out the clock

 

One would think the powers of F1 will have noticed this and adjust.....

I didn't really see that coming.

I want to keep an open mind, but I'm not convinced by any means.

Having said that, it looks pretty much like the "status quo" remains.

Does anyone else think that Rosberg is his own worst enemy?

 

Don't like this quali format. Front end loads the action in each time segment. The exact opposite of what's required. Utter rubbish. The fastest are still at the front. The slowest are still at the back, but get robbed of TV time which they need to keep their sponsors happy. The middle guys get lost in clock watching. I don't like it (can you tell!).

 

I think it's a trend to have the wing mirrors set so high up

 

With this silly Q concept in 2 months qualifying at the Monachaos GP will be a disaster....
