Anyone else fortunate enough to go to this even this past week? I was there for the first time and attended Friday and Saturday and had an absolute blast. The two Britten V1000s racing were fantastic (well, one was putting on a show doing wheelies during the race ;)). The sidecars were fun to watch and they put on a great show as well.

My favorite photo is the V1000 in profile doing a wheelie on the back straight: https://www.flickr.com/photos/havblu/21916419458/in/album-72157659677750666/

I even saw a baby deer run onto the track and almost cause a mess, but thankfully only a red flag was the end result: https://www.flickr.com/photos/havblu/21916982758/in/album-72157659677750666/

800+ additional photos I took are here:

Thanks for posting some great pics.

Did you get a chance to see my friend Paul Ritter? Plugging his book, I suspect (Racing with the gods).

Thanks! They're traveling down to Daytona this weekend if you want to check it out for the season finale!

I don't see his name among those that raced and there were thousands of spectators so unfortunately not.

I did notice a few people that ended up winning some races. Jake Zemke was the fastest guy out there in the Sound of Thunder group on the 1198 wearing the #98. He won both of the races he entered on Saturday and the earlier one on Sunday. He didn't start the second race (maybe driving to Daytona for the next race?). Apparently he raced for Michael Jordan's team and won both races at Daytona during the season opener that season. Really impressive riding from him.

The sidecar P2 winners Tim Joyce and Kat Collins were fun to watch. Kat was riding as the monkey and was fun to watch as the bike powerslided through Charlotte's Web each lap.
