Hi. My biz partner is looking to buy a low mileage, HSE LUX Land Rover LR4. He isn’t big on forums, so I said I’d try to help out. Sub 50k miles would be great Interesting color combos too (not a fan of tan interiors). Best case would be a nice 2016, low miles, clean CARFAX, southern or western US owned single owner. Budget varies on the offered LR. Could be anywhere from $25-60K USD. Thanks!
Fantastic vehicles, we have an LR3 and an LR4. LR really screwed the pooch on the new Discovery by straying away from the boxy design language and making it look essentially like a Range Rover. I may have a line on a 2016 LUX I believe white/black. In Canada though if you care...
After owning half a dozen Range Rovers, up to an L322, I did buy a 2016 LR4. I was hesitant at first, afraid I’d miss the V8, the ambient lighting (I really loved that), etc. The supercharged V6 does sound more like a 4 from outside the vehicle but I have to say I’ve been really happy with it for the past 6 years and 52,000 miles.
Agree that it's a great car to own. My wife drives a '16 HSE and it just gets better each year. Have had it from new and with 85K miles it's solid, fresh, and refuses to age. Have had P38 and L322 full sizes, an L320 (Sport) SC, and currently daily a new Defender... and all of them, the LR4 is stands out as the sweet spot.
I just de salted my ‘11 My wife loves this truck. The 5.0 is smooth as hell. Lots of oomph Image Unavailable, Please Login
I could arrange door to door shipping if it works out. They're hard to find with low miles...most of the ones I've come across end up getting exported to the US as the market is willing to pay more there. Only made 1 year with the limited edition package...only comes one way and that's fully loaded (locking differentials, rear TV's, unique zebra wood interior trim, some exterior silver/aluminum accents). Not sure if I'll ever part with it. Has around 55k miles on it now, probably good for another 100 at least. I prefer the 5.0 V8 over the SC/V6 myself. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Pretty rig. I don’t like the V6, but he wants one as new as possible since he’s replacing a 17 RRS and wants amenities. I doubt we’d sell ours and will likely run it to death. It checks all the needs boxes, plus my shop can work on them easily and absorb any issues (huge boon lol)
Search here at LandRoverUSA.com, the Richmond Va store has one that fits his requirements. We purchased the wife's RR HSE from them and had a great experience. Certified Pre-Owned LAND ROVER LR4 HSE LUX | Land Rover Richmond | Midlothian (landroverusa.com)
Wow. Very nice example. Doesn't have the high/low range transfer box which means no locking diff either but 98% of people probably won't ever need it.
I think its hard to find the high/low range on the later LR4s with the V-6. We bought our 2015 last year and most of them didn't have it. I believe it is more common on the older V-8 LR4s. As you say, Land Rover probably realized most people never use it.
If I'm not mistaken it was standard on the V8. Became an option on the V6SC models and I *think* it might have been part of the HD package (locking diff, full size spare, hi/lo range) but you may have been able to equip it on its own as well. I had a final year low mile with every option right down to the rear entertainment. Wish I kept it, but I prefer my 2012 V8 driving characteristics over it.
UPDATE: Found one for him in SoCal, going to ship it here next week. 2015 Black/Black LUX with 59K on it for $42K, over KBB, but, there wasn't much out there.
