Great advice above. It’s likely you’d keep reading FChat and become discontent you didn’t get HS or didn’t get the T. It happens. You need to buy an airline ticket and see it. Feel the buttons. Drive it. Then fly home same day or write a check and make it a road trip. Two 6 1/2 days make for a fun drive home!

Listen to Andy! There's stuff I didn't even know I needed, until I read about it on F-chat! :D

Likewise. Never thought or knew I wanted the handling speciale till I drove it. Decided it was worth getting. My new philosophy on cars is if your going to do it, do it big!

Of course, spending more will get you a newer, more powerful car. However, only you can determine what fits your budget. I'm assuming you've figured in the cost of insurance, maintenance and unexpected issues, i.e. an oil leak or similar repair. I'm very happy with the performance of the Cali 30. If you are not sure, see if you can test drive some cars to help with your decision. If you take your time, you'll find the right car for you.

there are some Ts out there in the 125-135 range with low miles. Most, if not all are not Rosso which is what i want, and being a first time owner the warranty is a must for me. As i learn the cars, and hopefully stick with the brand i may take more risks out of warranty cars in the future but who knows. This limits the number of cars in the search criteria right now.

There was a beautiful Cali T at Excell cars in Florida for 126k, however someone put down a deposit an hour before me. What i have found recently is that you need to jump on the deal or its gone!

I currently have a Maserati GT Sport 2017, the engine sounds like an orchestra, but its no Ferrari.

I cannot say this enough ... warranty warranty warranty.... when given the option, get the warranty extension, as its has the same coverage as the 1st 3 years.

Oil leaks out of warranty are never a good thing, better to have coverage, that have the fight out of warranty.

This, coming from someone who started with a 2013 California ( with 2 year New Power Warranty added ) then quickly made the move to a California T , that had just had the engine out oil leaks addressed ( under warranty extension ) as well as leather repairs on the dash. I'm still adding New Power Warranty when the warranty extension expires later this year.

Enjoy your search, its a large part of the enjoyment of ownership! ( IMO )

Funny , we did the same thing.... Maserati GT Sport to California to California T in the last 12 months!
Sometimes wish we had kept the GT and sold the SL ....

The GT is a quite seductive car. Still miss the GranCabrio MC. Not very fast, but a very special car.

So my Ferrari ownership has come to an end. With the DCT replacement (under warranty thank god) and some other minor items I decided to trade out and snapped up a 2017 McLaren 570GT (with 2 years CPO warranty after my recent experience).

    This car is outrageous.

One day I’ll be back I’m sure!
