If you’re wondering why it’s rare, Chevrolet didn’t make a 2500, ¾ ton Suburban in 2014. Same for 2015 in their new body style. And I can’t find where a 2500 is planned for 2016 or beyond. Also, an LTZ wasn’t offered in the 2500 so an LT with options was the only way to go. Just thinking, no idea what vehicle will be the foundation for armored security units or what they’re doing now. The 2500 Suburban was it. It’s rated with a maximum towing capacity of 9,400 lbs. A couple pics from a DIY project with a 6,000 lbs. excavator. It’s good to have the right tools and a way to get them! (It had to be a minimum of a 2500 to pick it up.)
